Is New Mexico really that bad of a state?

Watching different YouTube videos and it keeps saying New Mexico is one of the poorest states in the USA. Is it really that bad? Also, I was hearing about the crime being terrible and lack of resources. Anyone here been to NM or live there that can explain if this is true?

I don’t know how people live in these dreary desert landscape states it’s truly the worst (to me). It’s such a lonely existence. I much prefer the humid hot greenery filled world in Asia or New York for example.

Sometimes being in a lonely existence helps us get our mf mind right

I don’t need to watch, AZ has big beautiful cities aka Scottsdale, PHX, etc

once NM adds something like that then I’m sure people will visit/move there
