I swear fans/consumers don't know their place man.
Do you work at a label or in the industry? Do you make music? Dudes really think because they follow soundscan charts that it makes them A&Rs and people who have an impact on the music industry.
Support what you want and promote what you want...you being worried about the state of "music" makes it seem like you have a vested stake in it.
Don't take this the wrong way...I just get kinda annoyed reading stuff like this.
I mean ya'll are really in here carrying the crucifix uphill for debates on artist viability, album sales, and marketing strategies instead of enjoying the music itself.
I guess thats what we get for them making you all feel like you matter more than you really do. The music industry really has made people think they're experts on a topic so few really understand AND go through great lengths to prove it even while lacking a literal stake in the dilemma.
