The Official Netflix Thread Tho: Recommend Streaming Movies

Ok i get you, enough options out there. Interesting to see what happens with all those streaming services out, what grows, what fails etc.

I'm watching: Stranger things, black mirror, daredevil, master of none, umbrella academy, Ozark, travelers, Last Kingdom dragon prince, terrace house, Narcos, Baki, Dark, You, Peaky Blinders, imposters. I'm sure I forgot plenty, just off my watch again list. Not including The office, Friends, movies I've watched etc.
Some of the shows are great, some are just good, some are guilty pleasures. But that's PLENTY for me to lock in Netflix regardless when Disney+ comes out.

Yuck who eats jersey mikes....

I understand what ypure saying.
On a seperate note what i said earlier is. Their originals are not that great for me and their non originals ive seen a good majority of and not interested in watching again.
Hulu i atleast get upto date network shows (accept CBS) and can add on sports and hbo
So why keep netflix. Others can but for me its not worth it.
On top of already having prime (for shipping) and hetting the disney fpr my daughter.
And if disney ends up throwing hulu the rated r marvel/fox stuff it just got way more worth it. Atleast for me

hulu is great if you want to watch those cbs, fox, or abc shows or whatever

but a lot of what netflix produces probably wouldn't even be allowed on those channels lol

they ran out of things because you watched everything, but not everything released is going to appeal to you

What/IF finally gets good in episode 8.

Definitely knew it was gonna be lit when Daniella Pineda’s character Cassidy answered that door with bite hard nipplles with a see through gown over her bra and panties.

Boy she’s sexy.
She can act, too.

They flooded that one girl’s toilet and then there was poop water on that whole floor because she didn’t want to play along and talk on the damn toilet.:sick::sick:

tayler doesn’t look too bad but damn she was an accomplice to a home invasion and 3 murders. Judge thought she was a psycho path for going back to her hotel and getting the breakfast buffet the next morning.

Wanna know what monster’s forked tongue feels like.

Anyone know if FX Now will be bundled with Disney+ - Its got all of The Simpsons episodes among other dope shows.

Netflix Again Blows Past HBO, Others as No. 1 Pick for ‘Best Original Programming,’ Survey Finds

Netflix continues to wear the crown as having the “best original programming” among premium TV and over-the-top subscription services, according to new research from Morgan Stanley.

About 40% of consumers surveyed said the streamer is the No. 1 outlet on this front, up from 39% last year. The next highest scoring service was HBO, at 11%, which was down from 14% on the firm’s 2018 survey. The research comes out a day after HBO aired the series finale of “Game of Thrones” — which has rekindled questions about how much momentum HBO may lose now that its most popular show in recent years has concluded.

On Morgan Stanley’s latest survey, after Netflix in second place was “don’t know” with 32% of responses, indicating that many consumers don’t have a strong opinion about which network or OTT service has the best originals.

About 6% of respondents said Hulu has the “best original programming” (up from 4% a year ago), according to the survey. “With Disney taking full operational control of Hulu, we expect Disney to leverage its content production and [intellectual property] portfolio to drive more original programming at Hulu,” Morgan Stanley analysts wrote in the report.

Among other services, 5% of those surveyed said Amazon Prime Video has the best originals, followed by 2% for both Showtime and Starz.

Morgan Stanley’s AlphaWise online survey polled 3,041 U.S. adults (18 and older) in March 2019. The research firm said the sample is nationally representative in terms of age, gender and region. Note that the results for which network or service had the “best” original programming included responses from all those surveyed, whether or not they subscribe to the service.

Execs at HBO — and parent company AT&T — may be concerned that perceptions about the premium programmer’s relative status as the marquee producer of original TV shows is declining, especially with “Game of Thrones” ending its run after a strong hold on the cultural zeitgeist. During the first quarter of 2019, “Game of Thrones” captured the most social buzz among TV shows, according to research firm ListenFirst Media. That was followed by Netflix’s comic-book adaptation “The Umbrella Academy” and “You,” the psychological drama Netflix picked up for season 2 after debuting on Lifetime.

The survey results also suggested that Hulu is likely a bigger driver of cord-cutting than Netflix. That’s not surprising, given that Hulu sells a live TV streaming package that serves as a replacement for traditional cable or satellite TV. One-third of Hulu subscribers said they did not have traditional pay TV, versus 27% of Netflix customers and 22% of all respondents, according to Morgan Stanley.

With D&D screwing GOTs last 2 seasons

I'd say FX has been the only provider to have original programming on the level of bojack, stranger things and umbrella academy

FX has/had: Fargo, legion and you're the worst

Shhhhhhhhh Cartoon Network got Rick and Marty and venture bros

Hopefully hbo comes through with watchmen.. but Sundays don't feel like a must on hbo anymore.. sure I enjoy veep, last week tonight, the deuce or barry and others.. but nothing I feel I gotta gotta watch

But I'm not big on succession or big little lies
