"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

see now you talking that talk  That discussion belongs in that other thread but yeah, the pedestal. How do they get there and what not. Jordan is perceived as a biscuit boy but how is lebron any different if he’s only broadcasting the image of being for the cause and more conscious about social issues when at the end of the day him and jordan serve the same master??
The system that LeBron has come through is vastly different than that Jordan came through. LeBron is closer to owning himself far more completely, than Jordan ever will. Therein lies the difference. Jordan wasn’t getting paid as he should have been by Nike, nor the Bulls for a very long time. There was a time that Jordan was only getting a small, very small, percentage off of his own name through Nike. Considering that LeBron came from a single parent home, a much less stable background, LeBron’s story is much more impressive, considering how much of himself not only that he owns, but how he also had his crew roll with him in that success. Black men no less.

are you taking consideration of jordan's sister's accusations of the dad sexually abusing her into consideration when you made your stable background statement? not disagreeing with what you said btw, jw.

I am taking into consideration that Jordan had advantages that LeBron had never heard of, until he got into SVSM. He spoke of not even knowing what a food pantry was, on an episode of The Shop. Considering how the Catholic church has been molesting little boys who come from those supposed stable households for decades, even a century mind you, the nuclear christian family unit should have never been the barometer in the first place. It still gave Jordan the ability to not worry about where his next meal was coming from.

Good point

I’m still salty the East took Steve Smith (Atlanta Hawks guard) over Allen Iverson. He should’ve been there and makes me wonder if MJ had something to do with that now with all the Isiah Thomas stuff :frown: :ohwell:

:lol the Hawks were good, whereas the Sixers were the Sixers. Still, A.I. Would’ve showed out in MSG. 97-98 A.I. Was/is underrated individually. And those mesh black Sixers uniforms were fire!

we all knew it. It’s even more blatantly obvious when you hear Jordan try and defend it. They not going down that rabbit hole at all. Someone needs to do a doc about alternative motives behind his first retirement. Also cutting his finger on the cigar cutter. What really happened there?
Mike's interview with the shades on :lol reminded me of WH's "crack is whack" interview.

The ASG locker room scene with the legends talking about rookie Kobe :frown:

the fact that they all knew he was special and had to be stopped :pimp:

It was Kobe’s second year in the league. I believe he was still coming off the bench at the time for the Lakers but had gained a ton of popularity around the league. It was just clear that he had “it.”

One of the best parts of this is listening to basketball podcast after reliving stories and giving more insight.

JA Adande and Remona Shelburne were good on Howard Beck's pod talking about Kobe
