Yall iPhone fanboys neglect the fact the iPhone did the same thing that yall claim others have done. Apple sat in the back for yrs takin notes from WinMo/HTC,RIM/BB,Nokia/Symbian and then created a phone that pretty much had the specs the other phones would eventually get to. Then of course ppl ate it up. Yallseriously just got MMS after the 3rd installment of the iPhone craze.
And yall have %%#@ to say about the iPhone stock, yall gotta jailbreak it to enjoy the damn thing, sure is customizable.
One of the reasons the iPhone is so "popular" is because of the exclusiveness of it bein only on AT&T, if other companies had it then ppl wouldbe see it as the Touch Pro 2.
Android is def on the come up and I can see em takin over in some yrs and actually replacin WinMo on some of the better devices. I think that's the onlysetback besides bein young in the game

I can't understand the devotion people have for any brand of technology?
I'm not trying to be funny or preach. I just don't get it. Especially, passing judgments on devices that no one has even used yet.
Aesthetically, that's fair I can see that.
But, devotion to a product? Really?

Why do sales number matter so much to people. If I could get a device that did everything that I wanted to and only a few other people had it I would actuallyprefer that.
I'm not knocking the iphone or apple but if there not paying you, or having a direct correlation with me getting females then why defend a product so much?
Do people be go around saying your toaster is mad wack it only heats 2 pieces of toast mine does 5.

no one saying they came up with it on their own. but there's a big reason why Palm fell off HARD from the market and just barely got themselves back ontrack with the pre. they did alot of things right, but also lost their focus and did alot wrong. Apple learned from their mistakes, as well as many othercompanies, put it all together and now we have the iphone. Now everybody else is playing catchup to a company that has only ONE phone. And they've onlybeen in the cell business for 2-3 years.

I see android taking over eventually. Think about it, the Iphone just recently got Copy and paste?? G1 and mytouch came with that already, and like previouslystated you guys Just recently got MMS. And plus you have to jailbreak your phone for it to even been cool.

How can apple win when their "Smart" company decided to make it exclusive to someone OTHER than the top carrier in the country?
If they start putting the iphone on ALL carriers and keep the price the same, i can see how they would win.
But android is on all major carriers in the U.S. now............So....Droid > Apple for the time being.

Actually a pretty dumb decision. AT&T's 3G service is horrible at best. T-mobile offers BETTER pricing (unlocked iPhones) and you getbetter customization unlocked as is. You just paid more for less

I've had pretty much any phone you can name (tester). The iPhone is the best device by far... Mainly because of apps really though. Apps for other phonesjust fall flat compared to iphone apps. The OS even runs a little smoother than other phones. The G1, once containing 10 downloaded apps began to lag a lot.The mytouch 3g is exactly the same (with a cuter appearance.) Iphone way>>> than whats out there... no killers yet **BTW I'm currently running anunlocked iphone.?xx? (lol) with T-Mobile. 3G enabled... pretty nice...

People are just trying to be funny. So what if apple wasn't the first one to have the things the iPhone has. It's the best phone out. Nothings touchinit until another iPhone comes out. Not even on some fanboy status but iphone %%#*# on the competition. Touch screens on other phones I've tried are crap.After having an iPhone you get used to a good , responsive touch screen. That's just one thing.

The best thing about the iPhone is the applications. If those applications were available on other phones people would buy other phones.

I thought AT&T and Apple signed a 5-year exclusivity contract back when the iPhone was first released? Word I got was that it was initially 3 years, thenthey upped it to 5 years?
