UNC not as glamorous than Zona?
Wait, what?
isn't much more glamorous (what he said)
i think the UNC job is the most glamorous in the country with arizona probably somewhere around 10th.
Why? What makes UNC more glamorous than UK, UNC, IU, or Duke?
when you think of college bball dont you think of UNC? when you think of long term history, its UNC,UK,UCLA, Kansas and IU. all those schools started doing wht they did from the 60's till now. duke just started in the 90's. long term history wise Duke is not even in the same class as the other schools
and if you want to go about right now. only UK rivals what UNC doesnt for all there alum and ex players how everyone comes back in the summer time and is a straight family
They have the jordan brand backing them up something everyone loves
BigMike you're crazy, Coach K has turned Duke into one of the blue bloods of college basketball. His championships are a testament to that.
This is not true, Memphis' fan base know what they have in Pastner, he's a keeper.
UCLA is crazy.
I doubt whoever they hire will have as much success as Howland.
Isn't Syracuse in the top-tier of CBB programs?
Louisville in the second-tier perhaps.
Cake....I know you hate UNC, but let's be serious.

I believe Syracuse is a top tier program. Not on the level of UCLA, Duke, UNC ofcourse but only because we have only won One championship.
But in terms of value, popularity, success, wins, etc...I'd say Syracuse is a borderline top 10 school.

Its nothing borderline about it, Cuse is a top 10 school imo... but I wouldn't say top tier but they're definitely in that next group with Zona, L'ville, MSU, Gtown, Michigan, & Florida.
My top 10 consist of UCLA, UK, KU, Duke, UNC, IU, Cuse, MSU, Zona, & Gtown.
WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State University's men's basketball team got an unexpected new fan when they arrived home after their latest NCAA tournament victory.
A plane carrying New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow was refueling in Wichita when the Shockers' bus arrived Sunday after their upset win over top-seeded Gonzaga.
Tebow's representative asked coach Gregg Marshall if the Heisman Trophy winner could talk to the team.
Wearing a pink sweater over a tie and untucked shirt, Tebow got on the team bus, grabbed a microphone and told the players their surprising run to the Sweet 16 is something they will remember for the rest of their lives, regardless of what they do in the future. He also congratulated them and said they were an inspiration to many people.
"Some of you might go play in the NBA or you might have great lives. But this is the time you will remember," Tebow said. "All of you all together, ballin' out there together, training together, putting in the heart and sweat, everything, caring about each other. You'll never forget it, guys, this is what it's made of and these are the special times in your life, regardless of what you do in the future.
"So I just want to say congrats. You're an inspiration to so many people, so always remember that and how you carry yourself and your character, how you represent your school, your family, your team, your brothers on the team, but also, man, just go out there and ball out, leave nothing on the court. I know you don't need to hear that from me, but I just wish y'all luck and we're praying for you. God bless, and y'all go do it, all right, guys?"
The team then headed to Koch Arena, where thousands of fans had gathered to greet the team.
The Shockers play La Salle on Thursday night in Los Angeles.
Like Charles Barkely said UCLA wants to be a dynasty again but those days are over again Howland has done a great job
It's not just wins or tournament success, Howland lost the reins to the program and all control over his players. Coaches at a major institution won't achieve success if they aren't respected by the players.
No doubt that. It's not just wins or tournament success, Howland lost the reins to the program and all control over his players. Coaches at a major institution won't achieve success if they aren't respected by the players.
Eh, I'd put UK, UNC, Kansas, and UCLA all on the highest tier. They lead the all-time wins, along with having the title success. They've also proven that multiples coaches can achieve the highest level of success there. Duke might deserve to be included as well at some point, but I really want to see how K's predecessor fairs.
that's enough talk about Duke and K for me, btw... **** them.
he should of been fired last year and the reeves nelson story UCLA had everything they wanted to fire him, he sold everyone on this recuiting class turning UCLA around. and he failedIt's not just wins or tournament success, Howland lost the reins to the program and all control over his players.
