Anyway Kissfest exceeded my expectations.  We had got there right when Five Finger Death Punch got on and it was obvious most of the people were there to see them.  I tried to watch them but I took the time to get my sister a Flyleaf shirt and some water.  Anyway after they were done we tried to get as much up front as we could and got a decent spot for Flyleaf.  The messed up thing was this fat girl got in front of my sister so she could be with her sisters.  Both me an my sister couldn't see much I was getting a little pissed at this point so oddly I got a little more closer to her since (no offense to my big people on here) I know big people get hot fast and I did a little bit of elbow poking.  Finally she got annoyed and moved out and took her sisters with her so I pushed my sister up as fast as I could till she got rail.  Anyway Flyleaf was good and Lacey Mosley's vocals were great.  Usually she sounds raspy but she was clear and they can put on a show.  Three Days Grace was the headliner and rightfully so.  I know a lot of you probably don't jam to them or know who they are but man they can put on a show and my ears were buzzing the whole night from screaming females.  The drummer did a drum solo which was pretty decent for being a pop rock band.  It was no metal show but it was a good one.

been listening to a lot of King Diamond/Mercyful Fate lately, but what disturbs me is that there are a lot of ppl who claim they love metal but still don't know who King is!...on another note the only concert i've ever been to was when Dimmu Borgir, children of bodom, and some other guys performed in Vancouver at the Commodore...the other guys were ok but when Dimmu played "insight and the catharsis" that %@*+ was life changing

At first I just bought the tickets for my sister but I went in with an open mind and it wasn't that bad.  Next is Iron Maiden.  Now there is a real show.

I get times where I listen to King Diamond and Mercyful Fate nonstop and yes I've had to school countless people on King Diamond but his stuff isn't for everyone.  What groups do you listen to?

Damn freakin Rush tickets $125 and I don't even know how much more they are going to add for convenience charges. Not even Maiden tickets were that much.

I hated their last album, loved their first album, this one...still undecided. At the very least they're throwing out a different sound with each new record.

As for A Place Where You Belong, so far its my favorite song on the record.

HOLY BALLS AND WIENERS!!! I have never paid that much for a single ticket. After surcharges and all that jazz, they'll end up being 160... Thats just craziness. I love Rush, but dizam!

It is a pit ticket but still. I probably might still buy it anyway. Damn this sucks.

I feel about this album pretty much the way I do about the last two. I loved the first five songs on Scream, Aim, Fire plus Forever and Always (minus the fact its about 4 minutes too long), and I like about five songs on the Poision. The rest of the songs I don't hate, I just think they're filler. They aren't bad, really, but they're just more of the same, and I could go without hearing them. A Place Where You Belong is a *+$!##% great song. I've listened to it over and over on several occasions. The Last Fight is a great song too, especially the acoustic version (which is really piano/cello but whatever), but I lived that song for about a year. I had a girlfriend who was addicted to heroine, so every word of that song is 100% true, and it was the most miserable experience I've dealt with.

I think the next genre of metal I'm going to tackle is stoner metal.  Thus far on last.fm I've been checking out:

Lair of the Minotaur
High on Fire
Electric Wizard
Witchcraft
Orange Goblin
Torche
Acid King

Any other suggestions?  These were all off of the The Sword station

But really though, I rock with AFI. From what Ive heard anyways.

Matt -- Sounds like a crappy situation, but I always appreciated songs that I could apply to life and things I have dealt with in my past. Part of the reason why Music is such a huge part of my life...

Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater is gonna tour and record with A7X for their next album....this should be interesting....Neil Peart and Mike are definitely  my top 2 drummers ever!

THERE IS NO DRUMMER BETTER THAN NEIL PEART!

My last.fm to show just how TRV I IS.
Sarcasm aside.

Rush for 152 dollars? That's a hurting price for tickets hahaha.

Glad Maiden only cost me 80 something. And that's still pricey S:

sorry if I'm not actually aloud to post in here, but I couldn't resist.
