my favorite band is tool. nothing else really comes close for me. absolutely love them. if any of y'all have suggestions for any newer bandsthat sound like them, let me know. i've only known two other people on this board that dig them, and i know one doesn't post anymore (tical)

after that...some of my other favorites in no particular order:
- a perfect circle
- alice in chains
- megadeth
- ac/dc
- metallica
- HIM
- disturbed
- faith no more
- filter
- lacuna coil
- fly leaf
- NIN
- pantera
- sevendust
- ratm
- velvet revolver


hopefully some of y'all can put me on to some newer bands...but i haven't liked a lot of what i heard on the radio aside from a song or two.
 
Nice to see a boom in the NT metal scene. Deadset, what up bro! TOOL is definitely top 15 bands for me. and did Tical just stop posting? I thought he was stilllurking.

Flyleaf is awesome. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing them yet I hope they make a stop here. As for Tool I've never been into them. I do like afew songs from them though. I'm pissed off that Mayhem Fesitval isn't coming my way. That is usually my thing for the Summer and I wanted to see Kornto relive my youth

The White River Amphitheater isn't bad, just a long drive.

And REDd I'm gonna have to pass on the judgment on whether or not Bullet For My Valentine is metal or not due to extreme bias.
