STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Whats your current routine/workout program?

Well, I just had knee surgery about a month and a week ago. I had a nagging knee injury for almost 3+ years. I used to be able to run 7-7:30 miles. But the knee injury really slowed me down. I want to regain my cardio. I went to the gym today and messed around walking on the treadmill and running sporadically. I put the incline on 15. It was crazy. I'm not sure what a good incline level to put it on. I want to challenge myself but not die. Btw I hate the treadmill.

Last week was my first full week in the gym. I do legs on Monday, biceps/Tri on Tuesday, chest on Wed and shoulders/back on Thur.

I'm going to try the forskolon.

Arm days are useless.

Just my opinion.

I like arm day. I'm in the military so it helps me keep my chin ups at a decent level. And before I was doing my current routine, I could hardly do bar dips. Not saying I'm a beast but I do two sets, 20+ then 12-15.

I think I need to revise my chest work out. I really want to I prove my bench press. I'm 200 pounds and can't press my weight effortlessly.

On my base, we have a ton of people wearing the bane masks.

The craziest (I mean CRAZY) was a dude wearing the mask and doing the Jacobs Ladder. That's like one of the most difficult cardio machine to me, IMO, and the dude was doing it for minutes while wearing the mask.

For you guys that keep talking about protein powder, how many grams of protein do you get in per day? Also how much of it comes from powder?

180g+. 48g comes from protein powder. I double scoop it after workouts.

_______

As for arm days, it has its purpose depending on your goals. I personally get bored with it, but I'm on a cut, so it burns me out to do another big body part on Friday. On my next bulk, I'm only adding arm exercises in at the end of back, or chest.

Interested in seeing the arms of those who do and don't like "arm days"

This reminds me way too much of the topic dealing with core training if you need to do additional ab work if you're squatting and dead lifting heavy weight.

Same concept applies. If you isolate your arms or abs, they're going to look better, period. Can you have good arms/abs without isolating, yes you can. It really just comes down to a time/efficiency thing for most people, but I certainly would not tell someone to absolutely not isolate their arms/abs.

Nobody said anything about not isolating arms. Don't know where you got that from.

Some of us just don't believe in having a day dedicated to arms.

I'm pretty sure all, if not most of us isolate arms with other body parts, usually chest, shoulders or back.

I don't believe my arms are small, but I do believe arm days are kinda pointless. I won't dedicate a day for em on my next bulk.

Arms are pumped in the pic. 4 sets on tris, and bis if I remember correctly.

I'm playing with my protein intake, last 6 weeks I was getting abt 245g per day but I'm only around 200 lbs so I felt that was a bit much.  Gonna bring it down to around a gram per pound and up my carbs and see how I feel/look.  Only take a shake post workout for convenience or if I workout first thing in the morning i'll take a scoop before then eat a regular meal after words and none on days I don't lift so btw 25-60g from whey.
Man if I get up to 250 a day it starts bothering my stomach lol
food>>>>>>whey
Quoted for truth.

I get in 200gs everyday and none of it comes from powder. Been thinking about picking up some cheap walmart brand just to have if needed.
