Kylo being relative trash with a lightsaber really bugs me

Only Rey being the best swordsman in the damn Galaxy with no damn training at all is more annoying.

Adam Driver moves so damn awkwardly too.
I agree with Rey being too OP and without any training whatsoever. Obviously it doesn't take into account the scenes that they don't
show like she was already a pretty good fighter in Jakku fending off randoms. But killing PGuards? uhhhh

Kylo is pretty good with the lightsaber no? Like, the guards weren't softies by any means. He was supposed to have a hard time.

Rey is written like Neo from that Matrix.

She is "the one", her powers are unlocked at record speed, and all it takes for her to upgrade her strength is for her to "believe".

Rey basically the Dom & Hobbs of this new SW series. One woman wonder that can do anything and you have to accept that.

Poe, Finn et al. some combination of Letty, Roman & Brian.

Ewan McGregor was the only one who was able to act decently despite those terribly written scripts  Everyone else seemed like "WTF am I saying..." Natalie Portman was clearly uncomfortable in 90% of her scenes

People give Hayden Christensen a ton of hate, but he was given the most awkward lines I've ever seen in a big budget film. I'm not saying he's a great actor or anything, but he was screwed no matter what

Yeah, Hayden is not that bad an actor but they made him come off like a robot. Dude was outchea yelling lines in Episode 3 like he is Meek Mill. :lol

Natalie Portman is an amazing actor and she seemed ******* lost at times.

Natalie Portman is an amazing actor and she seemed ****ing lost at times.

Her constant :stoneface:face during all the Episode I/II love scenes  My friends and I view that movie as an unintentional comedy.

Forgot to mention Ian McDiarmid, he was great as Palpatine/Sidious as well.

Anakin's dialogue with Obi Wan before their light saber duel at the end of RoTS was cringe. The lines might have been cheese, but Hayden def could have delivered them better.

Those Prequel scripts were truly trash.

Hayden's performance in ROTS was pretty good at best and it made me realize he's had **** material to work with.

This trilogy is ****** if they really don't let Hayden come through as a ghost and give him some damn competent scriptwriting.

I still have no idea how old he's supposed to be. He looks like a grown man but behaves and has the skills of a nerdy 14 year old. Like I said, worst villain in the entire series. I'm not blaming Adam Driver for the portrayal; the character itself is just trash.

It's a shame, cause the trailers for TFA had me hyped to see him, and then all that went to @#$@ once he started his temper tantrums

Considering that Kylo Ren is the new 'Supreme Leader' it might make sense to have him be in early 30s at the bare minimum. Hell even General Hux is way, way too young to be the second in command. He needs to be in his 40s.

They should've had a year or several years pass from the events of the previous movie just to allow for some character development without actually having to show/depict said character development.

The thing with Hayden is that he was passable as the cocky and witty type instead of the fake yelling/crying emo teen type. I mean when do we ever see Vader throwing tantrums like that? He's always calm and using some dark humor even when he's upset.

The prequel dialogue was bunz but within the context of the entire story and given the current events, Anakin "From my point of view the Jedi are evil" was great.

Because I was like "yeah, I kinda get this man's point"

Both Natalie & Hayden were raw and inexperienced at that time. Lucas ought to have used young British actors instead but it seemed like he was more occupied with CGI, FX & marketing.

I think the quiet brooding was good. That scene where he finds out Palpatine is Sidious was good. Also his performance as Vader before he started screaming. He was cold, quiet, monotone, and scary.

Natalie Portman was not that inexperienced.

She was amazing in Leon the Professional. She was amazing in that joint.

Hayden neither. Because I remember him having a critically acclaimed role right before Star Wars.

But you are right. Lucus had a great outline to the trilogy, so instead of focusing on storytelling he was preoccupied with CGI.

Natalie and Hayden's performances could have been much better if they were written and directed better.

Dude was too natural in that role.

Famb got some bodies buried somewhere.

Dude has had me saying "UNLIMITED POWER" way too much in my life

Look at this gif and tell me this is not a man having the most fun he's ever had in his life

Speaking of the prequel trilogy, did any of you guys catch Episode I in 3D in 2012? I still have the 3D podracer goggles.

You can tell he was really enjoying himself in the role

Dude is a Boss.

Funny Boss Story for Flashback Friday:

Way back in the day, MTV TRL did a Special for Episode III Premiere at Skywalker Ranch. Was lucky enough to get selected and borrow the Garrison CO's Stormtrooper outfit. Working staff at Event is still work. Did see movie early.

They placed half of us on the front steps of the Main House as display for guest entering door. It's hot, I'm tired and kinda bored. Old skinny white dude strolls up with few people and as the front Trooper, have to stare down and give them lookover. Old guy looks straight at me, waves and smiles (like the above picture).

After they past, light bulb goes off:

F*! That was the Boss, the Emperor! ****!

I'm the first Trooper by music stage at 10:32.
Good Times.

I did one of the reason phantom menance I’ve seen 5 times in the theater. 3 times the first time it came out then the 3D release then the marathon for the force awakens

Shattered Glass, and he was tremendous in that. The kid can act, he just had some terrible dialogue to get thru.

Wow, was it that long ago?! I went to watch it. Never cared for 3D but I can't pass up the opportunity to watch any of them in the theatre.
