Exclusive details on Tom Hardy’s role in Star Wars: Episode VIII

There were rumors recently that Tom Hardy has a part in Star Wars: Episode VIII. We can confirm the authenticity of those rumors as they are in fact true. We were able to confirm the general contents of his sequence with a few of our sources as of late and piece the cameo together. So yes, Tom Hardy does have a small sequence in Star Wars: Episode VIII. Read on for the contents of the sequence. Please do not share these spoilers openly on social media or spoil anyone that doesn’t wish to be spoiled.

TOM HARDY

After investigating the scenario we have ascertained something like this goes down:

Tom Hardy plays a First Order stormtrooper.
Said stormtrooper glimpses FN-2187 on a secret mission but doesn’t realize it.
The “incognito” FN-2187 is surprised when the stormtrooper walks up behind him and slaps him on the ***.
FN-2187 turns around and believes he’s dead. He’s surely going to be captured.
The stormtrooper is elated to see his old friend from back during their First Order academy days.
The stormtrooper congratulates FN-2187 on his promotion to Resistance infiltrator and spy.
FN-2187 is free to go about his business to his amazement.

Basically Finn is on a mission, a stormtrooper recognizes him from training, and then lets him go in a comedic misunderstanding. What is interesting about it is it reveals that most of the stormtroopers that knew FN-2187 defected perished at the battle of Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens. I speculate: fearing dissent amongst the troops, Supreme Leader Snoke, General Hux, and Kylo Ren felt it would be unwise to inform the rest of the First Order exactly what happened to one of their own. (It probably doesn’t help that FN-2187 also put Captain Phasma in the trash compactor. It seems better to keep that on the down-low.)

The spirit of the cameo was very much in the same realm as the Daniel Craig cameo in The Force Awakens. We aren’t entirely sure if Hardy removes his helmet, but our bet is he does not.

Nice pickups, Ron. I remember my TRU's/Target's couldn't give Greedo's or Slave Leia's away. I may be able to still find a Greedo in stores but with the whole Slave Leia controversy, that one may be a little tougher now.

If you could check it out and let me know that'd be great, I'd really appreciate it. Those two locations were the same for me smh, they sat forever but I never picked them up because the boxes were always demolished. Now that I've decided I'm most likely taking these out when I get my own spot I don't really care. Last time I saw them though was Force Friday in the clearance section. I'm an idiot for not getting them at the time.

The Star Wars Show is going to be a weekly thing, every Wednesday at 3 pm Eastern.
Half of this episode was taken up by a non-Star Wars-related shameless plug. Pretty sad when they're already cramming that in on the first episode.
"I have a bad feeling about this..."

And it's only seven minutes...I enjoy Rebels Recon so I'll give this a shot but Jedi Council still gonna have priority.

yeah, I think I'm good on this and will stick to JC as well and I try to listen to Rebelforce Radio from time to time too. You guys ever listen to the commentary podcasts with Starkiller on it? The guys makes such compelling arguments for everything that he had me thinking the PT was on par with the OT :lol

The PT had some alright parts. I would never say it comes close to being on par with the OT, but people are just being close-minded when they say it was all bad and should be thrown out altogether. The dialogue was pretty clunky in a lot of parts, but at least compared to TFA:
1) There weren't obviously repeated plot points (for instance, no Death Star- droid control ship was kinda close but wasn't a superweapon like DS I, II, and Starkiller base)/didn't feel like a reboot of ANH/the OT
2) Music was lit- John Williams maintained the level of greatness we heard in the OT. Music in TFA was just okay.

3) Obi-Wan was great throughout the PT. Now if only they could've made Anakin likeable in any of the three films...

^I'm very curious about those X-Wings as they look like Episode 7 ones. But it clearly says "not final" so I won't worry too much about it now :lol

Although this movie would've been perfect to highlight the Z-95's.

I disagree with dude who said Darth Maul was overrated. Dude put in work throughout the movie and actually killed Liam Neeson... Wasted character imo

Okay, maybe he should've been renamed Darth "Silent, but Deadly"?

I just want to know when the lightsabers will be back in stock. I wonder if we will see any lightsaber fights in rogue one.

Star Wars: Episode VIII & The Knights of Ren.

Possible spoilers for Star Wars: Episode VIII below. Read on at you own risk and please do not share the details openly on social media.

Knights of Ren

Recently I glimpsed some photos of a set at Malin Head on the water. On the shoreline were seven men in black. There might be more but some of the people are hard to make out. All of these people are wearing all black with helmets, most of the helmets resemble medieval knights with weapons. The characters are not wearing the black covers to hide their costumes like they did back at Dubrovnik. These are actual black costumes. It is my opinion and the source’s opinion that these are the Knights of Ren. Kylo Ren could always have another gang of warriors in black but I think its likely they’re the guys we saw in The Force Awakens.

There are “black helmeted medieval looking figures” going after Luke Skywalker and Rey on the coast of Ahch-To. The guys I once referred to as Jedi Hunters back in the day were described in the same way back during the production of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

From what I have heard a few times, Rey is reluctant, if not angry at Luke Skywalker because she has to kill Kylo Ren and she doesn’t want to do it. The scene that follows appears to be when the showdown finally begins. I suppose she accepts her duty or has no choice but to fight.

The text below is what the source(s) witnessed.

Luke Skywalker and Rey are on Ahch-To just before nightfall as the sun sets in the background and it starts to rain.
Rey’s hair is pulled back. She doesn’t have the vest from VII on.
Luke and Rey are wearing the costumes we described before.
Kylo Ren and The Knights of Ren turn up along the coast.
Kylo Ren continues advancing towards the heroes with the Knights of Ren.
Kylo does not wear the mask here.
Kylo has the same cross guard saber as he did in VII.
Kylo’s costume looked the same as in VII.
Rey and Kylo Ren duel one-on-one and end up fighting alongside the cliff face over looking the nighttime water.
Kylo wants his revenge after Rey disgraced him.
The Knights of Ren go for Luke Skywalker while Rey is left for Kylo.
Luke Skywalker engages the knights on the beach while Kylo attempts to kill Rey.
The first black knight has an axe and moves towards the Luke but is Force pushed away to his death after being thrown through the air.
After Luke dispatches the first knight he ignites his green lightsaber.
Luke moves through each knight one by one.
Rey and Kylo’s battle moves up to the side of a cliff.
Suddenly Rey is nowhere to be seen. She’s taken out of the battle, either wounded or appears to go over the side of the cliff.
Luke Skywalker casually walks towards Kylo to finish him but Kylo retreats when he sees Skywalker and his crew defeated.
Luke Skywalker is a badass Jedi and he’ll destroy your squad.

One source commented:

“A lot of wire work was used.”

Luke Skywalker fights the Knights of Ren using the Force and then his sword, a mixture of wizard and warrior. While we can confirm that Luke does use his lightsaber, we think we can confirm the color too; the lightsaber was green for the light-rod on set. So it appears Luke still has his Return of the Jedi saber after all these years. There were also white flashing effects used in the battle.

The question is, does Luke let Kylo run? Can he not kill him for familial reasons or because Rey must do it as part of her training? The impression I get is that Luke knew Kylo would run and allows him to. Luke’s behavior doesn’t indicate he believes Rey is killed or anything like that. My guess is they may film something back at Pinewood of Rey hanging on for life or injured on the side of the cliff. It sounds like Luke Skywalker arrives in time to save her from Kylo’s treachery and Rey is a really good free climber after all.

We theorize that the location is the final Jedi ruin site Luke and Rey need to visit. Based on some rumors out of Pinewood, we also theorize that Kylo may be running inside the location Luke and Rey are heading towards so the fight will continue inside the spooky ruins of the Jedi Temple there. But at this point we have no verification of these theories just the bullet pointed statements above.

The sequence sounds really fun and may be the coolest start to a duel in a Star Wars film ever./

Sounds like what everyone wanted to see in 7! But I'm alright with how 7 turned out... we needed a setup movie to lob the oop for the rest of the trilogy
