He had a different lightsaber when his arm was cut off by Dooku, but yes to the rest.
Not the saber's fault though. The users need to do better. Though they also tend to be fairly outmatched.

Skywalker family heirloom. Finn playing with something he had no business playing with and got washed the worst. At least Anakin got a cool suit out the deal.
Finn might've messed around and ended up in a hovering wheelchair like Prof X in the next Star Wars. Be confined to just piloting the Millennium Falcon and sap scenes still tryna win Rey affection

After watching TFA again. I have to say the use of music is probably one of my favorite aspects. Not a lot of standout originals but I love the way they used old themes...
The Falcon theme when the camera pans to reveal it
Slow version of the Empire theme when they show Vader's helmet
Silence during Finn vs. Kylo -> altered version of the Force theme when Rey gets the saber
And the end theme is really good
