As a construction engineer I feel obligated to step in.
We might be over looking one fundamental aspect, and wawawawawaweeeeewa got it right. What ever function the Pyramids have, they are currently useless structures.
No, our sky scrapers will not be around 1000 years from today. They aren't designed to. In fact, they are DESIGNED to be brought down in 50...100...150 years depending on the building of course. Life Cycle Cost is a major aspect of any multi million dollar structure. When something is built they know when it's coming down and how much it's going to cost to take down/bring back to useable land.
If we wanted to build pyramids today, the weight of each stone would be one of the last issues.

Your ancestors? The concept of "africa" is European colonialism. Seeing "africa" as it's seen now is nothing like what the world was for civilizations in those northern regions at that time. Civilization was from the horn of "africa" to around india/paskistani border. It branched out from there slightly in various directions, ie towards libya, persia/armenia, etc. Point being, talking about "african ancestors" is like talking about "european ancestors" or "asian ancestors", only Iraq and all of the satellite civilizations around it were far more diverse. Your ancestors are not simultaneous from every civilization that ever existed in "africa", and you are most likely not descended from "egyptians", so his joke was not really disrespectful. As far as egypt in the whole people vs aliens; is it that hard to imagine people could have built it? Also, do we take greek mythology as some sort of evidence that they were talking to aliens? Egypt as a society was fairly diverse, and slaves did exist in their society. There were definitely highly skilled engineers/masons working on the projects, but they would not be the ones doing all the heavy lifting. The talent pool could not be big enough, and it would take thousands of years. Last time this went off into how blacks traveled all over the world to visit the chinese, the mayans, the olmecs, etc and impart them with wisdom. From some of the posted pictures it seems is headed there again. I guess some people can't make up their minds as to the facial features of certain civilizations, and also have come to the conclusion that certain "races" hold a monopoly of specific facial features. The olmecs were definitely black, I mean, who else looks like that?!...............
oh wait...maori (native new zealanders) must have built the olmec pyramids, look at the facial features, its irrefutable evidence! a picture!
I understand where the frustration comes from, being systematically undermined for centuries and labeled inferior is justification enough to want to prove the opposite. Claiming every advanced ancient civilization as black doesn't really help blacks in any way today. A high school in canada for black students where the curriculum revolved around afrocentrism failed to produce any results.
I think everyone can agree that "black skinned" people certainly played a fundamental role in egypt, there were even nubian dynasties. Again however, egypt was a diverse society and had a changing society as dictated by military losses and triumphs (pre-hellinistic egypt) and interactions with neighboring civilizations. No one is arguing that swedish-looking people build the pyramids.

^To be honest with you it's mostly white people talking about all this stuff on the web. most black people on these so called "stormfront" websites are a lot of the times referencing the same material written and discussed by white people who lecture on this stuff way more and in a definitely more organized fashion.
And when I was posting the olmecs heads we were talking about martians and alien settlement and something built much like pyramids around the world. Those things are mysteries in stone just like the pyramids. This ain't a race thread. Maori and mauri are two completely separate peoples. Polynesian peoples are, for the sake of this discussion, unrelated to africans/arabs, etc. Genome scientists have published information anyone can find on the web to see this (not that this specifically is a topic of debate in academic circles, just info you can compare). The whole, "it sounds like, so its related to" is a game that doesn't work.
The "white people" taking about "this stuff" are mostly egyptoligists from egypt (at least the "official one"), who denies that egyptians were black and that black is just a symbol of fertility, but the impression I get from him is that he thinks egyptians were arabs (like him), and so even though he is an "official source", his opinions seem incredibly biased and I don't believe them.
You really think other civilizations can't build similar looking structures? Do you really think that pancakes originated from a singular location, and that people couldn't have just come up with a similar versions on their own? As far as the last comment, it's factual that Afrocentrism is a response to Eurocentrism, and it's not just about a "point of view", its a spin in response to a spin. It seems like people are more interested puffy up their chest than to just find out facts (this isn't targeted towards any group in particular, just as a trend of many groups).

You sound like a hater bruh....black conscious movements never preach hate at all...yes those sources have an agenda but you said yourself that our existence calls for that agenda to be made in order for our people to be saved. The condition of black people is unfair, and unjust, our race is symbolic for the universal human struggle against those two evils.

I keep trying to tell people that the allure of Egypt is in its collective. But after analyzing papyrus and tomb texts, its safe to say that people are mistaking Egyptian culture as paranormal when in fact I hypothesize the real allure arises from its social history of racial harmony, mixing cultures, and social order. Notice the geographic location of Egypt? It is the true apex of civilization of every race of man working together. Every culture was represented and that's why Egyptian culture is buzzing so much in the United States currently. We're supposed to be a higher civilization just like Egypt was because we have demographic diversity.

There was some guy that that stacked huge rocks in his back yard to prove it could be done. He didn't let anyone see how he did it but there was a picture of pully like system with some "mysterious" black box attached at the top that the narrators if the show believed to be some sort of levitation device
