Brother I’m so glad you asked, I’ve been waiting for you to ask me to help you abolish the liberal agenda on the big screen all day.

around these parts we watch movies for the action and boobs. Not politics, try that in a small town.

had to look out of my peripherals during the upside-down hacksaw scene 0]… halfway, the sister just went around back. Gonna finish after Bucs-Falcons my god.
That scene, was a lot.
The way the film is put together is quite genius.
Skill, though disturbing it’s very skillful.

SS&S night 3:

Out of all the sword and sorcery films in the 80’s -90’s, this one is by far my favorite. I could write a book. 7.9/8

For all its faults I do love it - it's been dying for a remake for a while - but it wouldn't be the same without Connery playing the Egyptian Ramirez.

Any movie suggestions for movies that either end badly or end with the main problem being unresolved?
All I got:
- Life (2017)
- We Need to Talk About Kevin

Only non-horror title I’m coming up with that kind of fits that description is Gone Baby Gone, which you’ve probably already seen.

Alien Covenant
I haven't seen it, but the reason for my original post was because my son literally said last night that he wants to watch a movie that either ends badly or ends with the main problem unresolved. He has seen none of the Alien movies. I've only seen the first 3.
Do you all think Alien: Covenant could be watched as as a standalone?

Oooooohhhhh, that's a gggggoooodd oneeee!!!! I definitely remember loving it as I was watching it, and I'm pretty sure I remember the ending had me like "Ffffuuuuuu..."
Wasn't that... they were looking for the girl the whole movie with the thought that she was alive and then... nah? Am I misremembering? Confusing it with Prisoners?

She’s alive, but the twist is with where they find her and how it all ultimately winds up. It’s interesting because people can disagree about whether the “right” thing happened in the end.
