Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Cotdammit, A24.
Have I ever mentioned it here before that I love Nicole Kidman?
Now what effed up twist is it going to have? Is she a cannibal?
Sonuva...
Ever since I saw her in BMX bandits in 1983 when I was 7years old I always lusted.
Its' why I love redheads, ugly and pretty matters none, I will smash.

Check her out on the Bike, mate.

Yea i don't love all the ads Tubi shows but if you have NT on your phone or something else to fill the gaps you're gucci.

Anyone seen Megalopolis?? Is it dumb but watchable for the great visuals or is it just a painful watch overall?

So......I am buried at my desk at work, and decided to search thru The Rewatchables for anything I might have missed over the years, and I found Casino.

Listening now, and man.......such a unique experience that I watched Casino BEFORE I ever saw Goodfellas. And apparently, that changes my entire perception of the film compared to everyone else.

I LOVED Casino. I mean LOVED that movie. I saw it in theaters with my future sister in law. She kept mentioning Goodfellas, I had no idea what the hell she was talkin about. I was a damn kid, I didn't know what Goodfellas was. So TO ME, I almost feel like I like Casino more, probably because I saw it first, and the rest of the world is the other way. (And I love Goodfellas, when I did finally watch it, I loved it just fine.)

I'm only five minutes in and all of these guys were frustrated that it wasn't directly tied to Goodfellas, or that it was "different" etc, even tho they say it was the same.
CASINO > Goodfellas

No question

“So you see, the puppy was like industry. In that, they were both lost in the woods. And nobody, especially the little boy: “society” knew where to find them.”

“Except that the puppy was a dog! But the industry, my friends…that was a revolution”

jpzx jpzx HAUNT is definitely an easier watch than TERRIFIER.
Thankful for that. TERRIFIER is near DARK WEB rating. ****** with my energy big time.

“First of all, keep him out of the light, he hates bright light, especially sunlight, it’ll kill him. Second, don’t give him any water, not even to drink. But the most important rule, the rule you can never forget, no matter how much he cries, no matter how much he begs, never feed him after midnight.”

I was never quite clear when “after midnight” ends and breakfast starts?

That was pretty well done. No name actors that could act, a script that was good and directing that directed.
No wonder, it was Scott Beck
As far as a HALLOWEEN SEASON find, that one was pretty close to perfect.

Oh ****!
This just got steep.
Mallory just got a hot poker to the temple.

Yeah I was surprised, the house, red herrings, and the going back and forth were giving me feelings. Agreed on the cast, the baseball player that looked like Quinn from Dexter was good, so was the main girl. The big guy apparently was in a bunch of Season 1 Punk’d episodes where he’d be the security guard or cop who confronts the celebrities.

I have to figure out the right time of day this week to watch Terrifier, like you said vibe sucker.

Never seen it - is it worth watching?

Absolutely worth a watch. It’s a wild wild movie. Pretty low budget but you get a lotta bang for your buck. It’s violent and hilarious and has many “what the ****?!” Moments but in a good way. It reminds me of Mad Max but with swords and Arnold Schwarzenegger killing everyone :lol

It’s cool to see Arnold BECOME iconic. I’d rank it a solid 6/8 just in terms of entertainment value.

October 2nd / Night two / Elvira: Mistress of the Dark [Amazon Prime]

I’ve always been curious about her films. The late Paul Reubens (peewee Herman) used to give her lots of praise. They had a relationship of mutual admiration and respect. I can dig that. Leave. Review if you get a chance
