calibeebee calibeebee If I put myself in the perspective of someone who just watched Gremlins in ‘84, I would probably be opposed to a sequel.

But I absolutely loved The New Batch and I’m so glad it exists. I think it was a smart idea to change up the tone for the second installment. Part I and Part II compliment each other beautifully.

And, although we’ve addressed this before, I do enjoy acknowledging what an excellent job they did for the artwork (movie poster). To this day, it’s still one of my favorite movie posters ever made

Only because it’s a Bill Simmons Rewatchable, watching this right now, first time:

Never seen this Garrett Hedlund guy in anything, he’s very good.
You've never seen Four Brothers? Do yourself a favor and give it a watch when you have time. I've seen it a good 10x as this was in my DVD buying days and it's an easy rewatch for it's cast and pure entertainment value.

He's also in Friday Night Lights (movie) . I need to checkout Country Strong and also Tulsa King which he's in.

Yea I remember him from FNL, Four Brothers and Tron Legacy, haven't seen him in too much else lately though

31 days of sword & sorcery sci-fi: day 2

I’ve seen this many times. Comfort movie. Mad Martian is one of the great anti-heroes of film. Val Kilmer close to his prime in it. This movie is way more whimsical than Conan. Just learned that George Lucas was credited with the story and executive producer title. Def felt a bit like Return of the Jedi in terms of special effects at the time. 6.3/8

Megalopolis is shockingly bad.

Not only was the plot incoherent and confusing, but the dialogue was atrocious, visuals were nauseating, and the acting was bizarre.

Anybody watch the reality show Scream Queens back in 2008? It has James Gunn and Shawnee Smith hosting

8 women, one got a chance to have a starring role in Saw 6

It was this girl who won, she had never acted or had training

I’m for some reason watching Ep 1 right now on Roku, after I went down a random actress’ filmography that was in 3 Ninjas High Noon (who’s also on the show), and stumbled upon this reality show

Speaking of King Kong, has anyone watched them all? Is that a worthwhile endeavor? I absolutely love the 2005 Peter Jackson directed one and enjoyed Kong: Skull Island but those are the only two I’ve seen.
