I’ve been to two concentration camps, including auschwitz. I love band of Brothers, but correct me, is the quote

“If we didn’t know what we were fighting for, after that, we knew what we were fighting against”

In that show or was I thinking of another piece of media?

I have actually met and talked to some Jewish prisoners from Auschwitz about 15 years ago. while it was harrowing to see certain scenes on Band of Brothers or any of those types of movies, it was just a taste of what kind of disturbing things the Germans did during those times. they haven't even mentioned the experimenting done on people, particularly kids. some of them were subject to those and have the mark to show it. let's just say about 98% of people that were subject to such inhumane experiments died. they were among the 2% that lived to tell the tale.
