Official Umar Johnson Thread

The abolitionists used the very same book to contradict slavery, yet in the same breath were still considering women as second class citizens.

The problem is that the bible starts off telling a blatant lie about yaweh making eve from adam's rib, a trick that he hasn't repeated since.

Here's my question about authoritative text, when was the last time Yaweh wrote something down himself?
I know you've mention that support varying religions, so this is geared towards the part of you that worships the ancient egyptian God's. When was the last time that they wrote down something themselves? And please don't mention the mummy returns or the scorpion king.

Who told you that I worship anything outside of my ancestry?

Edit: And those ancestors have written down plenty from wills, books, and then screenplays for film. Some wrote their thesis, and others wrote lists for things to do, like picking up groceries.

So how is that school working out for Umar? Last I heard he was trying to make the rest of the money by gambling in a casino. Did he hit it big?
On the latest breakfast club interview he implied he wants black workers (HVAC, electricians etc.) to do it for free rather than wait for the funds to pay others.

He's been saying that for a while now. He claims he will use the money to buy the material for the school, but wants the workers to do the labor for free. Good luck with that.

I don’t see any independent HVAC company let alone an independent black HVAC company and supervisor doing $300,00 worth of work for Umar and this alleged school that has yet to take place for free. That’s to include this made up $300,000 amount that Umar came up with. You get the right contractors in there that know what they are doing and looking for it might be $350,000 worth of work or more.

Also if Umar doesn’t have or is struggling with the HVAC work that needs to be done right now how is he going to keep up with the regular maintenance of the building going forward? Let alone the day to day overhead and expenses that he will have to pay out on a weekly basis.

The math has never added up from day one. Like you referenced earlier, in that interview Umar said he needed about $300,000 to get that school up and running. Now he's in the casino saying he needs $1.5 million. At this point if a person donates money to his "cause" it's going straight in his pockets.

 I don't think him going to a Casino should automatically make folks think he is tricking off the school's money but he should have known that was going to happen.

I know you have different handles, so you may have forgotten which on you posted as. Are these not your post?

I'd like to see his answer myself.

I consider SET to be an ally of mine.

Again, where do you see anything about worship? I have relationships, meaning an understanding of. I never met my great, great grandfather, but I have a relationship with him and his legacy as well. Set is someone that I understand.

Ok

I guess this is some of that positive contributor to the niketalk community stuff that I have been reading about. Great that I can see this wonderful example.

If that means exposing and cleaning up some of the trash, lies and nonsense that YOU have posted on here for the last 16 years then I’m all for it champ.

Actually, you are exposing the limitations for which you are working with through your collection of misogynist commentary and nonsensical speak, or as said, your own foolish behavior. You cannot expose anyone, when your own behaviors are questionable. Call any dudes women today?

Disclaimer: I'm white

After watching Umar's breakfast club interviews, the Roland Martin interview etc, I think I understand the appeal to some extent (I wanted to learn more about pan-africanism) but it's just baffling to me how his core support, those who actually donate, doesn't see the scam in plain sight. Not wanting to donate to what increasingly looks like a blatant scam doesn't mean they can't continue to watch/support his speaking events.
As for the casino thing, I don't think it's really wrong but obviously it's going to come off a certain way. For someone as intelligent as Umar, that was a pretty braindead decision.

Yeah I think the majority of people that give his content the time Of day fall into the category of not wanting to donate but continuing to watch his events.

To what extent as a white person do you understand Umar’s appeal?

The black lady sketch show was definitely taking shots at people like Umar Johnson in the beginning of season 2 episode 3:rofl::rofl::rofl:

While I strongly disagree with some of what I heard (his stance on black LGBT people and interracial marriage), I think he also does an excellent job in talking about systemic racism and specifically in the education system. He clearly doesn’t shy away from controversy and I’d describe the appeal of his general platform as unapologetically pro-black.
Well not so much pro-black when it comes to the LGBT community in my eyes but from his point of view, I can see how he justifies his stance on that topic under his pro-black platform.
He’s a very good speaker on top of that so that’s bound to attract a successful following.

When he was having the back and fourth with kevin samuels, it looked like he was recording from a motel he was living out of
