PM Boris Johnson's office has already released a statement announcing they will invoke their veto power if Trump follows through on trying to readmit Russia to the G7. In an effort lead by Obama, the former G8 expelled Russia for their annexation of Crimea. The G7 consists of the 7 largest economies so Russia wouldn't even qualify for an 8th spot in the first place. There is no justification whatsoever for seeking to let Russia rejoin, they're not qualified.
