***Official Political Discussion Thread***

All Timid is doing is low key trolling, and hedging his bets.

If Trump wins he gonna be in here on some I told you so and slurping Ninja.

And he got no damn shame so if the Dem wins, the avy getting changed.

No one should take him seriously

His favorite NFL player (Lamar Jackson) happens to look exactly like our PRESIDENT ELECT so I understand his comments.

Pete's coalition is far too predominantly white at this point to win the nomination. I wouldn't worry too much about him unless he somehow really starts to build sizeable support from people of color, specifically black voters.
Not concerned with him winning
Just pissed that the best two people for the job got blatantly discriminated against

isn’t the second part kind of smart though? One would think if he wins the nomination he is getting democratic support so capturing trumps voters seems like a win no?

Comes down to if you believe getting trump supporters is possible. some people myself included tbh think its a fools errand to try to flip trump supporters and is a waste of time because even if you do flip some the number of em would probably be so small to where it wouldn't be worth it. Where as you'd gain more focusing on just increasing democrat turnout. I think you'd stand to gain more making sure as many dems get off the couch as possible to vote instead of trying to flip trump supporters who up to this point seem just fine going down with trump no matter what.

Are any of the Democratic candidates increasing voter turnout though? Bernie seems to be the popular candidate and 2016 had a worsevoter turnout than 2008 and 2012 and by all accounts the turnout last night was the same as 2016 which is pretty worrisome given we have a big dumb mongoloid running our country.

I’d worry about getting non voters to vote more than trump bots.

And who is doing that though? The reason Pete did so well last night was because he was cleaning up candidates from the non-viable campaigns who didn’t want to go to Bernie or Warren because they are so far left. Increasing voter turnout is great, but if there isn’t an increase in voters in these caucuses and primaries after what happens happened for the last 4 year then there is a pretty serious problem.

Republicans talking about Iowa Caucus...when they are literally canceling primaries, and not even allowing other contestants on the ballots is rich

I doesn’t help that the people who are running against Trump for the republican nomination are racist **** tards like Trump too

Can somebody break down the meaning of 'conspiracy theory' as it's being used in this thread?
Well let's see.

Do you believe there are forces at work seeking to influence the political outcomes of elections in America? Congratulations, you're not subscribed to a conspiracy theory. Indeed there are forces at work hoping to successfully bend or in some cases even break our democracy to benefit them. It happens in other countries as well. These actions are performed by countries, corporations and sometimes individuals.

Do you believe that one of these forces is a cabal that selects the president of the united states of america based on genealogy with no regard for the will of the american voter? Congratulations, you're subscribed to a conspiracy theory. There is no group out there that tests the DNA of presidential candidates and determines if you'll be president based on what Ancestry.com says. It's just not feasible. This is a clear case of correlation. Rich white people with a family history that dates back to european aristocracy tend to be related to other rich white people with a family history that dates back to european aristocracy. Surprise.

Like trolling vs. not trolling, it probably comes down to whatever RustyShackleford RustyShackleford deems a conspiracy theory

For example, based on a reading of Rusty's posts:

The DNC actively delaying the Iowa caucus results to benefit Biden: Conspiracy Theory

President Trump colluding with Russia to influence the 2016 election: Not a conspiracy theory

This is wild. Trump and GOP are gearing up to systemically suppress the votes of students and black people, they are welcoming foreign interference into the election.

Hell the RNC cancelled primaries and caucuses to Trump would not have to face the prospect of being embarrassed during the GOP primary.

But one state party makes a goof that delays the results be probably what is gonna be 24-36 hours, and the Dems are the ones rigging ****.

**** my life.
Messaging is everything. Might be a good time to revisit the BBC documentary "the century of the self"

I do agree that turnout being about the same as 2016 is concerning. I think the focus to increase turnout should shift from the candidates and their likability to this is about getting trump out. I would hope that message is enough to motivate people to turnout after the **** show that the last four years was.

Real talk - who would even run in that primary? And it would be a bad look because you know Trump would make their life a living hell after they took annL

I didn’t vote last election...

I’ll vote this time even though mn is gonna be blue regardless.

It's cool if you disagree but you're not saying anything of substance right here. If you want to disprove something you have to actually do just that and disprove it. You're just saying 'no, you're wrong' and declaring yourself as some type of winner without doing any work. I've yet to say anything that's untrue but if I have point it out.
