I'm in grad school and one of my class is literally about heathcare policy. The more I learn the more I can understand both sides of the argument on healthcare. Interesting and eye opening. I've just started classes three weeks ago and I still have more to learn.

Hearing the actual president say 20% of adults in all educational facilities should be armed and that he would prefer ex-military or police maybe the worst thing said to date. I’m not even willing to joke about it.

We now have to entertain turning our schools into mini prisons because right wing refuses to pass laws majority of the country supports.

Yet they call this compromise.

That at most of the "poorer" schools?
All full force seems crazy man.
In texas some school have a substation with a holding place and a couple cops with tazers.

And overly aggressive bike police

Question: what do we do in the (near) future when guns are no longer the preferred weapon?

Do we have a constitutional right to mind control devices? Acoustic weapons? Chemical or biological weapons? What if we show that they are more effective than guns for disabling an attacker?

Why is our right to bear arms always focused exclusively on guns? Do explosives count as arms? What if I launch the explosive with a gun?

Point is, the second amendment doesn't scale well with technology (unlike most of the other amendments) and it's pretty idiotic not to reinterpret it as new technology is developed.

Again, the Right is stripping away funding that makes getting a proper education impossible. Supposed to be able to bolster police forces at a school? On what budget? Plus, NYC is an entirely different beast. Of course this city has a higher need for security. You literally can't compare NY to any other city in the U.S., especially in a post-9/11 world.
