On the airstrike thing, I am not gonna put it all on Trump

Under Obama tons of civilians were killed in missions, and airstrikes.

The American public needs to face reality that if you demand the government fight terrorist overseas, and demand that tons of ground troops not be used, that strikes like these are the next best option and civilians will be killed.

We as a nation he to have a more honest discussion about stuff like these. I'm sure both Obama and Trump would want no civilians killed in strikes. But we hardly ever get that lucky.

100 is ridiculous though.

My heart goes out to those people.

bottom line is this so called fight against Terrorism is all in vain... we will never be able to combat or get rid of terrorist... the ideology is too strong and too engraved in these people that it will never go away... it's gonna continue for generations to come... sad reality but this country is partly if not mostly responsible for this ideology... America has done so many F'd up things to different countries that it's the classic Chickens coming home to roost that we are facing today and will face in the future...

"War on Terror" and "Protect our freedoms" is and was the biggest load of crap ever. Can't tell me otherwise.

@BBCBreaking: More than 100 Iraqi civilians were killed by US air strike and blast in Mosul in March, US military confirms https://t.co/mXhigHRjU8

This plays directly into the MIC's cycle to make more money.

Drop bombs that kill civs-> give terrorist groups propaganda/"justification" for radicalization-> terrorist attacks Western country -> drop bombs that kill civs -> ...

It's sad how we've seen both media and government treat the deaths of POC differently from the deaths of whites. One group is covered with pictures, stories, families, individuality, dreams and accomplishments. The other just gets lumped into a number, a dehumanizing statistic which minimizes the calls for change there should be.

Since this **** will never stop, we need to adopt a minimal non-enemy combatant casualty policy. We can't differentiate between civilian lives, and the lives of our own soldier. Doing so is valuing one human life over another, and the basis for the legitimacy of these operations.

Foursquare estimates that the drop in international tourism could result in an additional 1% to 2% drop in sales at US shops, restaurants, and attractions. Hotels, with 15% of booking from foreign visitors, are expected to be hit even harder.

In 2017, the retail industry can't afford to lose potential sales. Retailers have announced more than 3,400 store closures so far this year, and Credit Suisse analysts expect that figure to grow to more than 8,600 before the end of the year.

Foursquare isn't alone in highlighting international visitors' reluctance to travel to the US in the Trump era. Online searches for trips to the US dropped 6% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2017, according to Adobe data released in late April.

Britain's economy faces a potential skills shortage as new official figures show a surge in EU migrants leaving the country in the year of the Brexit vote.

Business groups warned that a sharp fall in net migration last year, driven by a dramatic increase in EU nationals fleeing the UK, meant employers risk "losing key members of staff in positions that cannot easily be replaced".

...

“There is a well expressed public desire for increased control of immigration but all parties in the general election should set out clearly the costs of any proposals they make. The Office for Budget Responsibility have calculated that cutting immigration to the "tens of thousands" would add £6bn a year to the national deficit, just in terms of the direct reduction in the taxes collected and so not including wider economic impacts.

Trump promised more jawbs doe

Britain's pound was twice as strong as the dollar not very long ago. Now, post Brexit, the dollar is point 77 of a pound. Pound is still stronger though.

Tourism I hear is way up because of the weak pound.

Vacationing in San Francisco is more expensive than vacationing in London right now. I know cuz I booked flight/hotel to both lol
