But they said white women learned their lesson and black men were the ones to worry about. Funny how that turned out. All that scolding us and telling us what he should do and it ended up not even being us.

Hopefully they learned from that.

To be fair as osh kosh bosh osh kosh bosh pointed out, those numbers are based on exits polling which is not the most accurate

It will be some time before we have more complete data for demographic analysis

In any case yeah, black men still likely one of her most reliable demos

… yet she didn’t mention ANYTHING about what the Republican Party promised or what made them so appealing. This is the point we’ve all made.

Ironically she’s using TIK TOK, which Trump and the Republicans want to get rid of
I’m genuinely confused as to why the focus keeps shifting to the Republicans. It’s akin to someone being pulled over for not signaling and then asking the officer about the speeding vehicle that just passed by. The real issue lies with the 17 million voters who didn’t show up. It's easy to point fingers at specific groups, such as Latinos or straight men, but the real missed opportunity is with those absent voters. The focus should have been on understanding why they didn’t feel compelled to participate. It’s not solely about the Republicans or certain demographics; it’s about the failure to connect with voters who felt disconnected or disillusioned.

At this point, I'm bracing for a tough ride— it is what it is.

Yep. Schedule F.

It's all spelled out in black and white and the country willingly walked into it.

Corporations about to bleed us all dry with all regulation gone.
I posted before about my experience growing up in a system like this.

Loyalists in government only care about how much fat they trim off their allocated budgets and how much bootlicking they need to do to not piss off the president and his entourage. They have no time to care for the woes of the common folk.

Americans don't know what the Trump sycophants have in store for them.
All because they were scared of LGBT folks.
All because they had one too many female bosses
All because people prefer saying happy holidays instead of merry Christmas

The truth unquestionably is, that the only path to a subversion of the republican system of the Country is, by flattering the prejudices of the people, and exciting their jealousies and apprehensions, to throw affairs into confusion, and bring on civil commotion…

When a man unprincipled in private life, desparate in his fortune, bold in his temper, possessed of considerable talents... despotic in his ordinary demeanour - known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty - when such a man is seen to mount the hobbyhorse of popularity - to join in the cry of danger to liberty - to take every opportunity of embarrassing the general government and bring it under suspicion to - to flatter and fall in with all the nonsense of the zealots of the day - it may justly be suspected that his object is to throw things into confusion that he may 'ride the storm and direct the whirlwind'.

Be the populist champion of labor as Bernie said.

That allows you to get your really broad coalition. Also allows you to move on your social policies.

It's why they so reliably ran well in the Rust Belt and North East for what? 4 generations outside of Reagan.

The Democratic party has an identity crisis. It used to be a coalition of limousine liberals, minorities and working class but they have abandoned the working class.

For the past three election cycles the Democratic platform has been "we're not Donald Trump".

Because the electorate is so scrambled up by both malicious and uninformed misinformation, coupled by an economy that for all intents and purposes, actually isn't failing or falling apart

There is no sense of urgency because these voters are comfortable enough. They'll be back in 4 years when we start to reap all the Republican policies

Leading candidates to run probably between
Shapiro, Whitmer, Beshear

Gretchen is my pick. Whether it's sound or not based on what just happened I don't know.

Walz would have a strong hand just as a guy who can run as a man of the people and is a populist but I don't think he wants to be President

I think Pete would do well, but as someone else said before head of DNC would be a killer job for him.
Barring nothing major changing, it’s gonna be Shapiro. Dude is a rockstar, he’s loved by both Republicans and Democrats here in PA

But they said white women learned their lesson

Not sure who “they” are but people always BEEN concerned about white women

People hoped with the horror stories of women dying because the restrictive laws being passed that would wake them up along with the potential loss of other rights.. but obviously not

White women, Latinos and Muslims are where conversations need to start

Do you actually believe this is the reason why the Democratic based didn't show up?

What’s crazy to me is how the Democratic Party rightfully condemns extreme rhetoric and the mocking of certain groups by Trump, yet when it comes to those who share even one value with Trump, they start labeling them as: uneducated whites, misogynistic Black and Hispanic men, and racist people. In general. How do they think that was going to play out? Do you really think a woman who’s not a college graduate, constantly being called “uneducated,” is motivated to go out and vote like they did last time? It’s like we’re missing the bigger picture here—let’s really think this through.

They coordinated throughout the campaign once again. This is the kind of outcome that ends up with Iran actually getting nukes.

He ripped up Obama's multilateral nuclear deal that they were complying with the last time and assassinated their national hero general.

From their perspective, that's the only realistic security guarantee possible given the continuous escalation in the region that won't be slowed down anytime soon by Bibi's buddy.

I had a terrible sleep as most probably did after last nights debacle.

Strangely enough, I have put aside my anger with MAGA and everything to do with getting Trump elected and instead, focusing on being disappointed in the democrats and the lack of adapting to what people have been saying for over a couple of years. We deserved to get caught with our pants down. The writing was on the wall but we ignored it because of our hatred for a group. We forgot to focus on the important matters.

I am actually wishing Trump luck and do hope he succeeds. We have no other choice. I'm not going to act like MAGA and wish for the worst.

Hilarious that Trump thought he could just make these companies eat the tariffs lol
This is an awful idea, especially since it failed before. It seems like the plan is for consumers to abandon imported goods in favor of American-made products, which might be marginally cheaper, but still more expensive than the current options. I just think it's a terrible approach.

That’s basically a dead political party of the past you’re comparing to with the mantra of a guy who isn’t even a Democrat. Think about that for a minute.
