Whether or not Trump holds this lead, deep blue States have a MORAL obligations to build a ton of new housing with at least a sizable chunk of it as below market rate.

The wishes of people who want to live in a low density neighborhood in big coastal cities, MUST be overridden.

California, New York, Massachusetts, et al. are going to be having a lot of interstate immigrants arriving over the next few years.

We may be getting even more corporate headquarters relocating to these already high demand cities in Blue States.

Generations of vanilla people man, and I am not talking about vanilla in white people term. Society in general has been dumbed down, which is why we are so susceptible to misinformation and propaganda.

People are just aligning this election cycle and it's exposing how weakened our democratic process is when we don't even use our votes to hold the people in power accountable.

Fellas I feel like I let you guys down and my mom (RIP) down. I truly believe that this wonderful community represents the world that I want to see and the world I thought we had. @Methodical Management thank you for everything that you’ve done for me and this community. When I say I’d rather be us than them, I mean that you guys make life worth living. I thought if we did the work we would win and I really tried but it might not be enough. The trans surgery in prison ad I think really worked for Trump,

not because of the specifics of the trans surgery.

fundamentally it was a reminder to moderate black and brown people that the democrats are weird, and focused on weird stuff that is culturally left
and college educated.

inflation is high, inflation was low under trump, the border looks bad, and dems are too sensitive to deal with it.

I am totally in favor of trans rights but it's a losing issue for Democrats. You can draw a straight through line from the trans bathroom stuff in 2016 until now.

It's a tiny issue that doesn't impact many people but a lot of normal Americans view it as very weird and have strong opinions on it. It sucks to have to do this to trans people but if I were a Democratic strategist I would distance myself from trans people and totally abandon trans issues. For whatever tiny minority of people you are winning over, you were losing many more

to dwindle what I'm saying to it simply being about racism would be missing the point a bit. He is a racist, that undoubtedly plays a part in those who support him. That's part of the story.

But Let me put it this way: EYE don't think blacks latinos, really anyone who's voting for trump are doing so because they believe in his plans and policies. He spins surface level platitudes about immigration and horrific tariff plans and that's really it. They're voting for him because he's a superstar who's combination of charisma, racism, and toxic masculinity works in this country

So for me, given where this country has gone since 2016...anything less than a Obama level superstar was going to be a Trump win.

To this point,

Trump may actually win the popular vote for the first time in 20 years. He's a superstar in large part due to the climate he created.

You can run on whatever you want, you're not beating Trump in 2024 w/a mediocre candidate popularity wise and even if it wasn't Kamala, there simply wasn't a star that was going to beat this.

to be clear i don't think its all trans peoples fault.

i think it's just one in a list of things that dems got out over their skis on. and sound culturally out of step.

- defund the police
- latinx
- Lax immigration
- bans on fracking
- decriminalizing border crossings
- various trans related stuff


That add just combined all those issues into one, culturally left, too sensitive to deal with immigration.

it turns out moderate and conservative black and brown people aren't THAT different from white voters on this stuff.
