So much of US politics is groups of people trying to address one imbalance or another.

The (very, very, very broadly speaking) intelligencía: entertainers, pundits, writers, educators, social media influencers, analysts, government officials, all the people who decide what is “true.” They are generally making less and less in wages, salary, pay, whatever, but technology makes them seem more powerful and omnipresent than ever. It also doesn’t help that wealthy, highly educated people are willing to plug the holes created by the state’s austerity on truth-seeking institutions.

Meanwhile, the local rent-seeking petty bourgeoisie seems to be in a fairly strong position in terms of being able to marshal the state and pissed off young men in order to protect their property rights. But being seen as uncool causes these dip****s to demand that the GOP sabotage modernity and equality in order to punish the perceived social lessers (women, POC, queers, etc.) who nevertheless enjoy more social prestige.

Highly suggest watching this, even if you're familiar with things she's said. There's a calmness and depth that are very refreshing to see. Makes you really realize or remember that we could actually have people being normal and just fixing things or making things better for everyone.

This is actually the best interview of a political figure I've seen in years. Covered a bunch of different topics without talking over the person you're interviewing, without coming with some dumb *** gotchas or nonsense.

I gotta give it to Matt and Captain Jack. That was solid. That's how journalism used to look. Because the questions are good questions that give the person something that needs a detailed answer, so it's not a gimme.

Again, highly suggest giving this one the 45 mins if you can spare the time.

She was probably talking to trump while saying it. These people are delusional thinking these hard right republicans consider them equals. Sometimes when you don’t know whether you’re on the right side of things because of all the misinformation or other reasons, just look at the other people on that side. If there are non political black republicans wondering about this, look at that clown Robinson, then take a step back and reevaluate.
