Official NBA 2k13 Thread

Was playing 2k12 earlier, and going into the fourth I was up by 17 against Boston, I was Lakers. Anways I'm up 17 and all of a sudden KG and Paul Pierce cant miss. Hall of fame mode in the fourth quarter for the CPU,
I end up losing by 5 :smh::smh:

Fakeass CPU.

Shot clock cheese

Thats the shhhhhhhhhhh I don't like.

Honestly, I'm not too enthused about the addition of signature skills to 2k13; seems like overkill to me.

I hope 2k tweaks gameplay so that the signature skills are noticeable but at the same time not overpowering.

Don't want to see someone like KD, or Kobe score 40 points in the 4th quarter alone because they're a "closer"

why do I fear that will happen?
Or dudes will use Rose or D Will & drop somebody on literally every single possession.

New to MyCAREER- Ronnie2K's MyPLAYER was drafted to the Phoenix Suns in NBA 2K13's MyCAREER mode. He was disappointed that he wasn’t drafted #1 overall which is possible for the first time ever in NBA 2K13. Though, his choice in suits makes it obvious that no one has better style than him!

oh ok.

So they improved the part of the game that NOBODY cares about: The MyPlayer draft process :smh:

Is that b.s. about not being able to get booed in other arenas still in the game? I'd like to see more of a dynamic role with the fans included in My Player, but I doubt it happens this year.

All that crap last year with giving money to charities did nothing. I was a beast all year long and would still get booed by my own hometown fans. That glitch has been in since 2K11. I'd really love to get MVP Chants in other arenas, and even see my jersey rocked in other arenas. Remember in 2K11 when they said that other players would rock your Signature shoe if you got popular enough? Well we saw how that **** went down :smh:

New to NBA 2K13 MyCAREER- GM sit-downs! At any point, Ronnie2K can meet with his GM to give him suggestions on the roster, discuss minutes, demand, request or rescind a trade request and more. After discussing the direction of the franchise in his second season, Ronnie demanded a trade! Let's see what happens. Like this?

lol i kno its wack to quote yourself, but i just noticed, how is it they're saying you can finally go as the #1 pick...yet my mans had 22 points, 13 assists, 3 steals and 3 rebounds..as a small forward....and only went 13th..? wtf else must dude do? we only get one game to showcase our talents. unlike how dope 2k10 was when we had the full summer league and if you were bunz, straight to the d-league with ya!

pretty excited for the signature skills. Reminds me of when Live first introduced this. One of my favorite features from Live. Hopefully with all the gimmicks the gameplay has also improved

Or dudes will use Rose or D Will & drop somebody on literally every single possession.

Did you guys read the description of each Signature Skill? The Ankle Breaker is a 30% increase in causing a stumble. Are Rose/DWill not 30% more likely to cross someone up versus someone with good ball handling but doesn't break ankles? It's not going to happen every possession.

This feature isn't arcade at all. It encourages players to play more realistically. Rose/DWill/Crawford have ankle breakers, so you should try and cross people as they do in real life. Kobe/DWade have the Shot Creator skill because they break people down and take jumpers. That's how they play. Compare that to the Spot Up Shooters like Morrow/Korver, those guys are much better shooters when they don't dribble - it makes sense that they get a boost if they're open.

These skills do more to individualize every player - more than tendencies/abilities do. I don't see how you guys could see that as a problem. The boosts/percentages aren't large enough to break the game.

some of this is not needed. corner 3's for why? i mean i expect any body in the nba avg ovr 45 career 3pt to hit wide open corner 3's. its the easiest spot on the court for a shooter.
Im calling cheese this year, but whatever i still gotta play 2k aint like im downloading that live :x

Yea I hope they added more depth to the draft process cause i nearly smashed my control when I had a 30 point triple double in the showcase and went 7th, Hopefully they have teams work you out or something cause if its possible to be drafted number one I'm trying to go the bobcats as a SG, it'll be dope to just be able to be drafted anywhere, depending on certain factors

Should be good...

PM me that avy info asap bro
