So I guess the benefit is if you're a new subscriber, you get Sunday Ticket free PLUS you get $120 in $10/monthly credits by pre-ordering the Anniversary edition essentially making the game free.
That's lame because new subscribers to Directv during football season get Sunday Ticket for free anyway.   I got mine free 2 years ago when I signed up in Sept.  for Directv.

Here's the details about the Amazon Sunday Ticket promotion.

Looks like current subscribers can get it free too
Exclusive Offers From DirecTV
 • For fans who are not currently DirecTV subscribers but are able to receive DirecTV service, they will receive a promo code entitling them to $10 off per month for their first year of service and one year of NFL Sunday Ticket Max at no additional charge.
 • For fans who are already DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket Max subscribers, you can access NFL Sunday Ticket on your computer, tablet, and mobile devices using your current DirecTV username and password.
 • For fans unable to receive DirecTV service, each Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition will include a unique code to access the 2013 regular season (17 weeks) trial of NFL Sunday Ticket on computers, tablets, and mobile devices- including access to the award-winning Red Zone Channel.
Exclusive to Amazon.com, the Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition combines all the innovation and authenticity of Madden NFL 25, a 17 week Madden Ultimate Team pack subscription, and exclusive offers for DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket. Each Anniversary Edition includes a special code for eligible gamers giving them the opportunity to unlock a special, 2013 regular season (17 weeks) trial of NFL Sunday Ticket on computer, tablet, and mobile devices. For fans who are able to receive DirecTV service, a special promo code will be included entitling them to an exclusive promotion, including $10 off per month for their first year of service, and one year of NFL Sunday Ticket Max at no additional charge.

^ Good looking out. I went ahead and ordered. I hope this "trial" version also allows you to watch on a PS3. I am not sure I am going to enjoy watching games on freaking computer screen for 3-4 hours. Guess I can always hook it up to the big screen but still... I want to see Megatron, R Bush and the Lions in full HD. 8)

I feel like this is too good to be true. Does anyone know if you can get this through your PS3?

I feel like this is too good to be true. Does anyone know if you can get this through your PS3?

That's what I'm waiting on...either way i still bought it and if it can't play on my ps3 ill just cancel... supposedly their only allowing 50,000 copies for each console with this offer

Straight from the EA Sports website...
Can I use this service to access NFL Sunday Ticket on my PS3?

This service is available on your computer, mobile and tablet applications only.

Just read that on the amazon discussion board.

I ordered mine for PS3. I figured I won't get charged until the end of August and have plenty of time to cancel if I change my mind. Only 50K for each console so we'll see what happens.
Playbook 3: Connected Franchise
Welcome to the latest and greatest career mode in Madden NFL 25, Connected Franchise. There are a lot of cool upgrades and new features this year, so let’s quickly hit the highlights.

madden-25-connected-franchise-1.jpg

BUILD YOUR EMPIRE

The biggest and most notable change in Connected Franchise is the introduction of Owner mode. Take control of your franchise and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of your team. Create yourself as an owner or take on the persona of one of the NFL’s 32 current head honchos. Hire and fire personnel, set prices on everything from parking to concessions, manage stadium upgrades or even build a new one if your current facility just isn’t cutting it. Or, if you’d prefer a truly fresh start for your team, you can relocate your franchise to a new city and try to build a new fanbase from scratch. This is the perfect mode for those who want ultimate control.

Owning a team and managing it well is going to be challenging, so check out Owner mode’s features in more detail. Learn more about managing your people, marketing your team, improving your cash flow and more, all in the name of creating a true juggernaut organization.

EXPEDITING THE PATH TO STARDOM

Last year in Connected Careers, Madden NFL 13 introduced the idea of XP and skill progression for players and coaches. This year, the logic has been tuned to help you upgrade faster and get on the field sooner. You’ll see a substantial boost in the amount of XP earned in both practice and during games, allowing you to upgrade your player or coach faster than ever. This year, if you enter a practice session but don’t achieve the set goal, you’ll still get a good chunk of XP just for completing the drill. The XP enhancements don’t apply to just your player, however. CPU players will also show bigger changes in progression or regression.

madden-25-connected-franchise-3.jpg

Another significant upgrade this year is that whenever you create a player or coach you’ll be able to see your overall rating and where you’ll factor into the depth chart (player only) before you commit to a team. This lets you put your created character in the ideal situation, either starting right off the bat or patiently sitting behind an established starter while you build up your ratings and try to earn your roster spot through old-fashioned hard work and practice. All the info is provided at a glance, and you can quickly scroll through all 32 teams and find your landing spot at each. On the first day of practice, you’ll know exactly where you are in the pecking order and how many other players stand between you and your shot at cracking the starting lineup.

madden-25-connected-franchise-4.jpg

EVERYTHING AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

Connected Franchise sports a brand new user interface that makes navigation a breeze. Available actions are laid out in tiles on the home screen, making it simple to jump into a game, upgrade your player or coach, check out the league news and more. There are still separate tabs for the various actions for when you want to dig in at a bit more depth, but it’s nice to be able to take in everything at a glance.

madden-25-connected-franchise-5.jpg

Complementing the new menu is a revamped trade screen that allows players to easily see the trade block and the offers from other teams. The new interface makes it easy to see what’s on the table and allows for quick comparisons between offers.

On the topic of drafts and trades, Madden NFL 25 also features retuned logic for the draft, trades and free agency, which was another major topic of community discussion. The team has been able to account for fan feedback and adjust to ensure that all parties gain the greatest possible benefit from every transaction.

madden-25-connected-franchise-9.jpg

One of the best-received features of Madden NFL 13 was the ability to play as legendary players and coaches in Connected Career. This year, Randall Cunningham, Mike Ditka, William “Refrigerator” Perry and many more will be joining the ranks of the immortals. Cunningham was one of the first true running quarterbacks, a mantle he has passed down to the likes of Cam Newton and Robert Griffin III. Now fans can experience Cunningham’s blazing speed firsthand as an Eagle, Viking or on any other NFL team.

There’s a great deal of debate both within the EA SPORTS offices about whether Mike Ditka was a better player or coach, and Connected Franchise lets you decide for yourself. Madden NFL 25 includes both player and coach versions of Ditka, so you can have him lay the lumber on the field or demonstrate his prowess with a clipboard and a headset on the sidelines.

Also included this year is William “Refrigerator” Perry, a truly intimidating player. Football historians may know that not only did was The Fridge a fierce defensive end, but he actually also started his career at fullback. In Connected Franchise it’s up to you to decide if you want to utilize Perry’s brute strength coming out of the backfield or disrupting it.

In addition to the new players and coaches, there are also several new members of the media who will follow your progress and heap praise or scorn upon you via social media. Expect Peter Schrager to offer his unique insight into your performance, while Matthew Berry may chime in to encourage followers to pick up your player in their fantasy football leagues.

THE FEATURES YOU ASKED FOR

Madden NFL 25 also includes several fan-requested features, including full 32-team control, new commissioner tools, and a league transaction log. Also, fans of the NCAA Football franchise will be pleased to hear that they’ll be able to import their draft classes from NCAA Football 14 into Madden NFL 25.
Madden NFL 25 Owner Mode
This year, Madden NFL 25 introduces Owner mode within Connected Franchise, adding an incredible amount of depth and intricacy to sports gaming’s most innovative career mode.

STEPPING INTO THE OWNER’S BOX

Your first decision when you start up Owner mode is choosing which NFL team you'd like to control. There are lots of ways to approach Owner mode, starting with the first decision you make. Interested in taking on the challenge of building up a young team like the Cleveland Browns? Or maybe you’d be interested in instilling some discipline in the unruly Raiders. Or perhaps you take a free-spending team like the ******** and try to reign in their finances a bit to clear some salary cap space.

madden-25-owner-mode-1.jpg

Another thing to consider is whether you want to take on the persona of a real NFL owner or start fresh by inserting yourself as the new boss. It’s always fun to build up a team in your own image, but it’s also incredibly alluring to embody the larger-than-life personalities of guys like Jerry Jones or Jim Irsay.

madden-25-owner-mode-2.jpg

Once you’re ready to get started, it’s time to familiarize yourself with your team’s current situation. What does the cash flow look like? Is your stadium in good shape, or could it use some upgrades? Do you have the right coaching staff, or is it time to bring in a new regime? There’s a lot to keep track of, but fortunately you’re not going it alone, as several advisors are on-hand to help you understand exactly where you stand.

madden-25-owner-mode-3.jpg

PUTTING THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN THE RIGHT PLACES

While many fans gauge a team based on their performances on Sunday, savvy fans know there are a lot of folks who play a big role in the team’s success. The most public of these figures is the head coach, who’s ultimately responsible for the gameplan and making sure the players are motivated and ready every week. Make sure your coach’s philosophy aligns with the strengths of your team; otherwise, you’re in for a rough season!

If you’re looking to make a change at head coach then there are several factors that will influence who’s willing to hear your pitch. Want to get Jimmy Johnson out of the broadcast booth and back onto the sideline? To pull it off, you’ll need a team that is both valuable and popular, with enough potential to make a run at the Super Bowl.

madden-25-owner-mode-4.jpg

The coach isn’t the only one who can help your team succeed, so you’ll need behind-the-scenes personnel to help build your team and keep it healthy. Every team needs a good scout, and the better yours, is the bigger discount you get when buying scouting packages.

It’s a fact, players get hurt. That’s when you’ll be reliant on trainers that can help your players rehab and get them back on the field. These folks are particularly helpful when players sustain serious injuries, getting them back on the field sooner and reducing the chance of reinjuring it. Investing in a great trainer will go a long way towards helping you keep your best players on the field.

madden-25-owner-mode-5.jpg

BUILDING AND MAINTAINING YOUR DREAM STADIUM

As the NFL has grown in popularity, stadiums have continued to get bigger and more opulent. Newer venues boast some incredible amenities, and many teams in older buildings are doing everything they can to keep up. As the owner, it’s your responsibility to maintain an attractive stadium and make it a destination where fans want to come spend their time and money. You’ll have to plan your upgrades carefully though, as all stadiums have a maximum upgrade capacity.

In the event your team’s home just can’t keep up with the Joneses, you’ve also got the option to rebuild your field from the ground up. Building a new stadium is an expensive proposition, so you’d best make sure this is a place appealing to your team’s fans and that the house is packed every weekend.

madden-25-owner-mode-6.jpg

FIND A NEW HOME

What should you do if you find your team just isn’t the right fit for its city? If that’s the case, then you can move the team to a new city and try your fortunes in a different town. Maybe you want to move the Rams or Raiders back to Los Angeles, or expand the league to a new country by placing a team in Toronto or Mexico City. If you’re truly bold, you can even move a team to London and try to sway English fans into watching a completely different kind of football.

madden-25-owner-mode-7.jpg

Moving a team doesn’t just give you a new name, mascot and stadium, it also brings with it new fans and a completely different dynamic. If you go to LA, you’re heading into a situation where you can make a lot of money very quickly, but you’ve also got to compete with several other professional sports teams vying for cash and attention. Win early and often and you may be able to hold sway over the fanbase, but one or two losing seasons could lead to a drop in attendance that takes a long time to recover from.

On the other hand, a city like Toronto is likely to be more loyal to the team, but won’t provide as much of a cash infusion. It’s a good city to build up a franchise, but can you make the money necessary to realize your grand visions for your team? These are all things to consider before you uproot a team and try your fortunes in a new location.

madden-25-owner-mode-9.jpg

HAPPY FANS AND FULL COFFERS

As the owner, you maintain full control over pricing on everything from tickets and merchandise to concessions and parking. Fans may love $20 tickets, but that’s not going to keep your team out of the red. Conversely, most folks won’t pay $10 for a hot dog, so pricing yourself right out of the market won’t help either.

madden-25-owner-mode-10.jpg

Finding the sweet spot between these extremes is key, and the city you’re in and the players on your team will help determine which way the pendulum swings. The shrewdest owners know that they always have to take into account what the market will bear, and so should you if you expect to succeed.

madden-25-owner-mode-11.jpg

WHAT’S YOUR STATEMENT?

Another component of fan happiness and overall team success is the media statements you’ll be asked to make after some games. Say you’ve lost three in a row; are you prepared to promise a victory next week or do you think it’s best to soft-pedal and remain non-committal? Be bold and the fans may rally if you win, but lose another and they’ll be furious. Offer a lukewarm response and you’ll see little boost after a victory, but also won’t be facing a full-on fan revolt if you can’t turn things around.

Ultimately, everything you do comes down to your fans and how they perceive your team. If the fanbase is strong you’ll be able to build a beautiful stadium with plenty of amenities and, most importantly, put a championship contender on the field. However, if you wrong the fans you may find yourself struggling to make ends meet and could be forced to sell the team if you just don’t have what it takes. Are you ready to prove what you have what it takes to be an NFL owner? Find out on August 27.
Connected Franchise Deep Dive
Mike Young is the Creative Director for Madden NFL 25. He has been involved in the franchise since 2008, starting as Art Director on Madden NFL 09 He previously worked on all four NBA Street titles, and also served as Art Director on NBA Street Homecourt.

Hello there! I'm here to talk about the improved – and renamed – Connected Franchise

madden-25-connected-franchise-12.jpg

For those long-standing fans of the series, I'm pleased to announce the return NCAA Import Draft Class. You’ll be able to take your draft classes from NCAA Football 14 and import those players directly into Madden NFL 25. This was one of our most-requested features, and I know fans of both games are going to be thrilled.

madden-25-connected-franchise-13.jpg

Next up is a personal favorite, offline 32-team Control. Fathers and sons, coworkers, roommates, and more can play multi-player leagues all on the same couch. If you couldn’t decide between controlling a player or coach last year, why not do both in the same Franchise? It’s the perfect option for those who like to manage all aspects of their team.

madden-25-connected-franchise-14.png

Do you want to change the sock heights of every player in the league? Change schemes for your opponents? Play every game? Well now you can. Simply add more characters to control during the initial creation flow or anytime thereafter and you’re all set. Our goal was to give players the opportunity to have as much control over their Franchise as possible.

madden-25-connected-franchise-15.jpg

If that wasn’t enough for offline Connected Franchise players, Madden 25 also includes the ability to start a league with a Fantasy Draft Before you start your Franchise, you can choose to throw every NFL player back into a pool and essentially restart the league. This feature is available both online and offline, so anyone and everyone can engage in the fun of reshuffling the entire NFL landscape.

madden-25-connected-franchise-16.jpg

On top of these huge features, you'll also notice a slew of improvements, starting with a refined user interface. Connected Franchise is slick, snappy, and supremely organized. Furthermore, we’ve reworked the trade interface and added a transaction log.

madden-25-connected-franchise-17.jpg

We’ve even added the ability to change your players’ positions. Move cornerbacks to wide receiver (or vice versa), transition your defensive end to linebacker and more. With Connected Franchise you’re able to truly build your roster, your way.

We’ve also included even more legends, bringing the total to more than 50 playable characters. Play with Iron Mike Ditka as either a coach or a tight end, or see how Randall Cunningham stacks up to today’s mobile QBs. There are so many more great players, coaches and even owners for you to discover once you hop into the mode

On the presentation side, we’ve got a lot of exciting additions for your Franchise experience. Darren Rovell, Paul Lukas, and Mike Clay are just a few of the new names in sports media that will bring added depth to the News Center. Commentators will also fill you in on standings, season stats, last week’s game and more. In addition, experience all-new branching Draft story lines brought to life by Trey Wingo AND Adam Schefter.

madden-25-connected-franchise-18.jpg

We wanted year two of our career mode overhaul to be massive. That is why we have added the Owner aspect to Connected Franchise. With the ability to control a single player, coach, or owner on every NFL team, there is truly something for everyone. As the owner, you hire staff, respond to the media, set ticket and concession prices and manage your stadium.

madden-25-connected-franchise-19.jpg

You can even build a new stadium or relocate your franchise. All of this is on top of everything you could already do as a coach, so you can still upgrade players and have full control on the field on game day. What this also means is that we have real owners in the game, which allow you to compete as or against owners like Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft.

madden-25-connected-franchise-20.jpg

So, why the name change? Last year in Madden NFL 13, we introduced a brand new experience that re-imagined what a career mode should be. We named it Connected Careers to clearly communicate that what we had built was completely new. It spoke to the innovation, social connections, and RPG elements that were new to the mode. Now, with us adding several Franchise-specific features and the all-new Owner mode, the name Connected Franchise speaks perfectly to the experience. You’re not just controlling a career anymore; you’re controlling an entire franchise or, if you want, 32 franchises!

dang, would have been purchased for sure if there was PS3 access for the sunday ticket. Has anybody purchased ticket before for use on computer and mobile devices? how is it?

Straight from the EA Sports website...
Can I use this service to access NFL Sunday Ticket on my PS3?

This service is available on your computer, mobile and tablet applications only.

Just read that on the amazon discussion board.

Well it looks like I'm out for the anniversary edition.

Back to streaming Raider games for another year!

After passing on last year, I think I'll cop this year though with a real franchise mode and upgrade to boot.

Hmm, I used to love Owner Mode... but what is the next-gen version gonna look like?

Glad owner mode is back. It was last featured on the last best madden which was madden 04 I believe with Vick on the cover.

One little detail they need to tweak are the CPU sim stats. In franchise mode I'd have mark Sanchez or colt McCoy finish the season with 28 touchdowns and 4 INTS. Or Kevin Kolb throw for 5 tds and 400 yards passing in one game. Some really unrealistic stats

FYI, just updated the OP with info for Madden 25 for the PS4 and XBox 1, as well as a poll.

Some gameplay videos from E3 are starting to come out, I'll update the thread with them shortly.

Playbook 5: Madden Ultimate Team
By EA SPORTS Jul 1, 2013

madden-25-ultimate-team-header_656x369.jpg

If you’ve never played Madden Ultimate Team, then you’ve been missing out one a whole new world of wish-fulfillment. Madden Ultimate Team allows you to assemble your very own team, before challenging other fans for the right to call yourself the best of the best. Several new features have been added this year to make Madden Ultimate Team more fun and compelling than ever before.

madden-25-ultimate-team-2.jpg

THEY'VE GOT CHEMISTRY

Madden NFL 25 marks the reintroduction of Chemistry, which revamps the way you’ll set your lineup. There are four offensive and four defensive styles to choose from, and matching up players who fit into a given scheme is crucial to success in the mode.

Looking to air it out with a long pass offense? In that case, you should combine a strong-armed quarterback like Matthew Stafford with a burner like Larry Fitzgerald. If you’d like to build your defense around rushing the QB, then players like Aldon Smith or Von Miller will prove invaluable. Here’s the full breakdown of Chemistries available for both the offense and defense:

Offense
Short Pass
Long Pass
Ground & Pound
Speed Run

Defense
Zone Defense
Man Defense
Pass Rush
Run Stuff

Upping Chemistry will unlock team bonuses, and the more in-sync your team is the bigger the boost. For instance, a high Speed Run Chemistry rating will provide a significant boost to both the elusiveness for your ball-carriers as well as run blocking for your offensive line. The goal in Madden Ultimate Team is domination, and the inclusion of Chemistry adds another wrinkle that can separate good teams from great ones.

madden-25-ultimate-team-3.jpg

BRING ON THE SEASON

Madden NFL 25 marks a new way to compete in Madden Ultimate Team with Head-to-Head Seasons mode. Players compete in 10-game seasons that culminate with an eight-team playoff. Performing well in the regular season earns a higher seed in the playoffs and potential first-round bye, and rewards will increase as you advance deeper into the playoffs. There are eight increasing levels of competition. The higher you climb, the bigger the rewards become.

madden-25-ultimate-team-6.jpg

PUTTING THE BEST TEAM ON THE FIELD

The Best Lineup button has been upgraded, making it quicker and easier than ever before to set your roster. Previously, Best Lineup was limited to choosing from your active items, so players in your reserve weren’t considered for the roster. Best Lineup now looks at your ENTIRE list of players, pulling from both the active roster and reserves. You’re still free to set your lineups and tweak your personnel, but anyone who wants to quickly set a strong roster and jump into a game can now do so with a tap of a button.

Madden Ultimate Team continues to offer all the other great content and features fans have come to expect. Grab new packs to improve your team, buy and sell items in the Auction House, and even take the action offline with Solo Challenges. Players can also complete collections to gain rare items, and special promotions throughout the year will offer rare players with significant stat boosts. Come August 27, prepare to dig in and create your very own Madden Ultimate Team!
