That's because they can't think for themselves as everything is filtered through ESPN for them.

mike brown is a good coach and id take him to coach the knicks but i don't think hes a good coach for the lakers... i was thinking adelman to coach this team instead... hes used to coaching veteran players... mike brown would be good for the knicks because they got young players and he would have more control of the team not like cleveland when bron bron ran him out of town

Kobe on board with hiring of Brown, has great respect for him, according to sources.

ofcourse he is. now he can do whatever the $%%% he wants to do.... smh. if you thought kobe played dumb this past season watch out...

if they dont do anything this offseason to improve shooting the lakers are DONE...

If Kobe is smart and wants to keep winning he'll get in line. Doing whatever he wants didn't work the last time when he was a better player but also younger and less mature.Like you said , shooting is a problem and The PG position. We got pretty much the same team coming back coaching shouldn't be that big of an issue with a mature group.

Exactly...Kobe knows he now calls the shots, just as LBJ did in Cleveland.

Why are people on here claiming Kobe was the guy responsible for Mike Brown being the Lakers next coach ?

Some you fools be sippin that hatorade strong on Kobe since the Lakers got taken out of the playoff this year.

Have you guys not read the reports saying that Jim Buss is the main guy responsible for hiring Mike Brown? The LA Times & ESPN are saying that the Buss family interviewed him and did not consult Kobe or Derek Fisher. They are also saying that Jim & Jerry Buss want to get away from the triangle offense. They did the same thing in 2004 when they hired Rudy T's drunk %%* and he didn't even last 1 full season here.

Now ESPN is reporting that they just fired long time assistant GM Ronnie Lester

Jim Buss is on some serious POWER TRIP right now trying to prove & make a name for himself.

The Lakers future as a franchise is not looking good at all. Magic, Jerry West, Phil Jackson and eventually Mitch Kupchak will be all driven out by the new Al Davis of this sports generation aka Jim Buss.
