Daario was saying something along the lines that they only have unorganized slave soldiers. No match for Unsullied.
Hope we see more scenes of Grey Worm fighting.

Damn.

I still can't believe how old the books are.

Yeah, I didn't realize that either until I started reading the first one. Must feel good for him to have his material blow up and become mainstream like this. Glad HBO made it into a series or I would've never known about his work and started reading it. Made me get back into reading again.

House Stark through and through. Call me Young Wolf.

My dude Daario brings the charisma and seduction.

I got Targaryen once and Dothraki once, I'm good with either :lol

I just love House Martell's words after reading this a few years ago:

Rhaenys led her army into Dorne. However, the Dornish refused to give battle, instead melting away into the mountains and deserts, returning only to launch guerrilla raids on the army. Rhaenys captured holdfasts to no avail, as their people (learning of what happened to Harrenhal) had already fled, leaving only the elderly and infirm. Frustrated, Rhaenys flew directly to Sunspear to demand Princess Mariya's surrender. Mariya instead informed her that, "This is Dorne. You are not wanted here, return at your peril." Rhaenys replied that she would return with "Fire and blood", but Mariya simply replied, "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken". The Targaryen army withdrew from Dorne, leaving the country untaken.

Dorne was like Russia. Can't conquer that land. They couldn't take it by force so they resorted to plan b.

Yo, there has to be people that do G.o.T. larping right? It'd be cool to put on some armor and hit people.

Looking back, how did three guys make a whole city surrender?
They killed guys and opened the main gates. The Walls were the only thing really protecting that city.

And no not a spoiler. It was stated in the episode when forming the plan and since they made it back to the tent we can assume the plan worked.
I thought they only killed the first party. Didn't they say the slave soldiers put down their arms....maybe they just persuaded them to open the gates by promising them freedom?
Killing only the first party still follows the "Kill guys" portion of my plan but yeah I think that's how it went. I forgot cause you know... Red Wedding.
it's like in the first and 2nd book where they couldn't afford to show every battle so they glossed over it.

but yes they got her yunkais slave soldiers to throw down their arms and realize they can be free, and then they opened the gates so the rest of the unsullied/dothraki/slave host could walk in and sack the city.

Finally took the quiz. Wasn't expecting this one:

I tried a second time and got House Stark. I guess I'm just not ruthless enough for the other houses.

Spoilers for Lost, The Shield, and The Wire below

Truthfully, I didn't feel attached to any of these characters who just died in the red wedding. And I don't really care about anyone else on this show except for my man Tyrion.

It wasn't as bad Charlie dying in Lost, Wallace in the Wire, or Lem in the Shield. These are all comparable characters (not the main MAIN characters).

GoT has been ehh so far for me. This whole season has kind of been lackluster so far. Lost, The Shield, and The Wire were much better TV shows by the end of their 3rd seasons.

Anyone else kind of feel the same way?

I knew I was House Tyrell! :lol

If no one has posted they agreed by now, no one will. It sounds like the show just isn't for you if this season has been "ehh" so far TBH.

I'll wait until after maybe the fifth season before putting it up for debate with The Shield or The Wire.

I'm not sure I can agree with that... The way Rob & Cat died were up there with those deaths imo...

that line by Cat earlier: "Show them what it feels like to lose what they love." played out for them instead of the Lanisters was just TOOOO real imo.

Especially Cat... she felt like she had lost it ALL... when they changed Rob, he was her last straw and it was broke right in front of her. She literally lost everything she loved right there. That was REAL.

But then again that's just my take on the topic, this is not me saying this show is on par with The Wire though. But it is dope as hell.

Remind me never to trust Coupe in the soccer thread.

:lol

This show's emotional impact on the viewer is up there with the all-time greats. And it's even more impressive considering there's a lot of characters with separate storylines.

In the second quiz posted..

House Tyrell
50% Stark, 51% Lannister, 33% Baratheon, 32% Tully, 62% Tyrell, 48% Martell, 38% Targaryen, 24% Greyjoy and 25% Arryn!

I guess that means the sexiest woman in Westeros is off limits
