I remember when we had a Euro thread on here (did we? I’m not sure) and Portugal won the tournament, a whole bunch of randoms invaded the thread and started talking @$@$ . I had randoms PMing me and demanding to know more about my Portuguese background while others called me Indian rat catcher (because of my mixed background), fake Spanish royalty (no idea why???). The most bizarre insult was when someone told me “Portugal didn’t even colonize the world the best” and that they didn’t deserve to win. Portugal winning had people MAD but I was just enjoying it all

dudes must’ve lost a fortune betting on France, cause I can’t imagine why else anyone would have that much hatred towards Portugal of all countries

The US Soccer vs Mexico Gold Cups were terrible too. Without fail there’d be randoms coming in just to drop anti Mexican comments that had nothing to do with the match or sport in general.
