looking forward to ending the year off right with SJs, royal foams and, of course, Kentucky 1s. i'm tryna get out of this ever expensive, never ending "game" but it's really hard. it's harder than quitting smoking weed.

Weed is good and so are the Kentucky 1s. Wife might force my hand on the space jams. Her birthday the day before smh. It's really expensive and to say the least OD. If I was in my early 20s going out all the time maybe I would buy 3 shoes in a month. It's just excessive for a old fart like me. Just to say I have something...but 1s are undeniably a old man's shoe. Silhouette screams sophistication.

Most of the pics of 1s I see people post on here seem like they just got into kicks and they only like hyped joints from recently. Where's the og heat? Or even under appreciated 1s from just a few years ago. Tired of seeing same 5-6 joints posted. SBB, Bred, BT, Chis, RSBB, and now Top 3. SMH

I can't speak for others but 1's used to hurt to wear, I couldn't wear them at all until they softened up the materials and made them comfy

I had the baby blue alpha 1's (beaters)
'09 shadows that I picked up for $13 (long story)
DMP bred 1's that were only tolerable when I took out the insole
OLNL pack that I eventually sold off
And my biggest regret were selling off my DS pair of Celtic dmp 1's after sitting in my closet a few months (lakers are my squad, it would've been blasphemy to wear them anyway )

Exactly I have close to 20 pairs of 1s and I'm not talking just recently purchased hyoebeast ones but I got called out for leading by example so I went to the closet and took some shots of joints that you wouldn't typically see people proudly post on this thread

I try to take a pic with every fit I wear now. I may not post it all the time but I want to do another collection pic but it will take mad time and room. Also I have to do it when my girl isn't home. I love my Stecyk 1's. The print on the heel, insoles and back of the tongue tag set them apart. Those above will def be bought and make a nice relative to the SB's.

To the bruh who said peeps don't post enough old heat:

Firstly not many AJ1 OGs released except for the usual colors, rest were ****. And the quality on most of them were ****. Why buy them? I mean even in the remastered pairs the quality is pretty lousy... Some of the leather is nice however they make up like 15% of the shoe. if you can't ball in them= lousy quality.

For me personally I never liked aj1s the reason why I never bought. They didn't have a nostalgia factor for me bc I'm a bit young for their hayday. I was always a 6,7,8 guy. When I bought a pair of 14' B&W for the helluva it one day..... I was sold on AJ1s ever since... As long as the color way was there.

They either wouldn't be the new mold, no remastered materials, not enough color options, have jumpman branding, or a 220+ price tag.

I sold most of my older ones when the new ones came out.

New mold is just better than just about everything that has came before it outside 1994 and 1985 with a few exceptions in between
