There's a clause in the memorandum that allows the states to redirect the $100 out of the persons existing unemployment benefits.

Say person A gets $400 a week in unemployment and the government will only give you $300 if the state gives an additional $100.

The state will cut your unemployment to $300 and use the other $100 as part of the extension.

Basically you're only getting $300 not the $400.

Wouldn't hurt to see what they want. They emailed me when I applied and something was messed up with my bank account, routing number, or my bank wasn't accepting their deposit? Straightened it out simply, and 1k 2 days later. It's ot like you got any money (no offense) or did anything illegal. Just be careful if you talk to someone, lots of scams going on (and not just us NTers). What do you have to lose? Answer if they call back, or call them back. If the government want to hand out cheese, take it before someone else does.

Yea, they going to bat for the USPS but nothing I seen anywhere discusses stimulus direct payments to citizens. If whatever they do for the post office allows our $$ to slide in their, great. But Im not that optimistic and im not seeing anything pointing to that. Hope these pos surprise me.

Postal funding and state funding are two main reasons negotiations fell apart. I've got a feeling since Pelosi called the house back, they'll approve a skinny stimulus for direct payments.
