-Both. Own three homes, one in states one (I rent out), two back home (one is an investment property I own with my cousins though), and got some land down there too. Me and my girl live in an apartment now though
-Thankfully, my island hasn't been hit that severely by a hurricane due to its location. When it does get hit, I donate to the general fund they have to rebuild bridges and new housing for folk. Took part in some clean up efforts when I was younger though, but to be honest they were not that big.
-Oh Me, my sister, and a couple of my cousins pool money together to do stuff on the island too. We just finished buying some school kids their books for the year (on your island you buy your textbooks too)
