OFFICIAL 2020 STIMULUS CHECK THREAD

You should have included one more extra smiley

You have made this nonsense seem less like gibberish

This is not about caring for the government. When state government have shortfalls, they cut public services before they raise taxes to make up the deficit. That means public transportation, homeless shelters, social workers, food security programs, health clinics. Austerity hurts the people first, disportionately poorer people, and in turn disproportionately minorities. So want state to be helped has mainly to do with avoid austerity being put in place because it will hurt vulnerable people. Those are the folk I care about

But you want to act like a fool wildin thinking he doing it, talk on **** he clearly doesn't understand, all to seem like you are the only one in the room that gets it. So yeah, I see nothing but a clown talking out his ***.

Oh I forgot....

Nahhhhhh. They don’t care about you or the homeless. Neither do you care about civilian lives either. MISS ME.

Because even when they have healthy funds and things are normal, they STILL don’t care. Ya’ll thought the pandemic was gone change things??? :lol

No one is arguing they care about me or anyone else. Only place someone is doing that is in your imagination.

The fact remains that state government run these sort of programs, in times of deficit they get cut, and regular folk rely on these programs. It is that simple.

I am talking about basic public policy, and it is going over your head

So economist are also warning that budget shortfalls on the state level will prolong the economic depression and slow the rebound even when we are pass the pandemic.

So you are either a) unable or b) unwilling, to accept that there is an valid argument to helping states beyond "  y'all care about people that don't care about you". Good grief man.

So yeah, your posts looking like a circus bathroom right now. Nothing but clown ****

DAWG, you named yourself RUSTY SHACKLEFORD. :lol :lol :lol :lol. Talking about “basic public”’ policy, whilst your country voted for trump and defunds education, again, who are the real clowns??? Please explain. A hit dog will holler. Ya’ll talking about these same economist who work for certain organizations and sway opinions. Again, that EXPENSIVE state lost billions within a matter of months, after taxing people. DEAL WITH IT. I could care less.

Then you went on a spiel about state governments helping the homeless, disenfranchised, etc. which as bold fave lie.

For those of us who have actually lived in CA for long period of time (not any more thank goodness) and seen firsthand how government finance is run, this commentary gives a straight forward discussion of outstanding issues.

Really have to be Rich or Poor here. The Middle Class has been decimated for decades. State spending was $56 billion in 1998. Go down the rabbit hole and guess where that number is now.

Then look up California Revenue Anticipation Notes (RANs) and Revenue Anticipation Warrants (RAWs). First month for work I sat in State’s pony show to The Street and the civilian in me just thought:
Payday Loan-Mouth writing checks Politicians can’t cover. Your Money.

So my post must match a fiction character in a ******* cartoon. You can't possibly be saying something so asinine, no ******* way a reasonable person would think that is a valid objection.

I work as an economist. There are economist that have different ideologies, from different schools of thought, work for different organization, but the damn near economic consensus from the most reputable ones is that budget shortfalls will slow down economic recovery. I mean government spending is literally a variable in the GDP equation, it is not even some top level analysis they are doing. So please, you have no argument here. So certain economist work for certain employers, the most of field should be ignored. This is the same type of logic the anti-mask, and anti-vaxxers employ. It is lazy, it means nothing.

You damn opinion doesn't dictate good public policy. You are acting so dense that you can't grasp basic argument and concepts, yet you think people should think like you. Of course the lost money during they pandemic, most state governments rely on sales taxes, and economic activity has hit the floor, so there are less transactions to tax. Tons of people have lost their jobs, so there is another with income taxes. They didn't lost money after taxing people, they losing money because they were not able to tax people. You clearly don't understand enough of the basics to form a coherent opinion on this.

I point out the simple fact that state (and local) government. Does you city have public transportation? Public universities? State run clinics? libraries? etc? Why can't you comprehend that there are public programs on the state and local level regular folk rely on, and they will be cuts when there are deficits. Why is that such a hard concept to grasp?

You are still just talking out your *** because and ranting against strawman arguments instead of what is being said to you.

ICE CITY CF ICE CITY CF asked the most important question in here....

Why are you so dumb?

Can’t own not nan lick over here. I’m a grown man. He’s wrong. He over there crunching numbers like a warrior. I know the figures. I know the gist. My whole post is sarcasm and innuendo. He taking it personal just because he’s and “economist” by trade. As if I care. I simply said California is a price gouging a**** state. That takes every cent from it’s tenants. But now they don’t have any money to fund unemployment and whatnot. It’s all a joke to me. I could care less. Because me and mines gone be good regardless. We don’t rely on the government.

Bro, you’re not smarter than me. Book smarts or street smarts for that matter. Them degrees don’t mean anything. I’m college educated also

Da fragility

I didn't mention anything about degrees or being college educated.

Yet I'm the one taking it personal. Ok famb, whatever you say.
