OFFICIAL 2020 STIMULUS CHECK THREAD

Where is my $1,200 at?
They’re playing with my emotions. Word to Big Perm...I mean Big Worm.

i just got a deposit this morning of $7.87

did some digging apparently it's interest

Yeah, I received a $3.61 payment direct deposit. Was wondering what it was.

Fyi:
“By law, these interest payments are taxable and taxpayers who receive them must report the interest on the 2020 federal income tax return they file next year. In January 2021, the IRS will send a Form 1099-INT to anyone who receives interest totaling at least $10.”

Giveth and Taketh.
Stimulus, Interest, Fed unemployment, and Grants & Loans. Regular Income, Capital Gains, Interest and Payments already a pain to keep track. Next year’s filing will be epic record keeping paperwork.

Federal UI update now 11 states will be issuing the extra money.
Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Utah

Alaska officials planned to file an application on Wednesday, according to a spokeswoman with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Some FEMA LWA UI updates on states not listed in yesterday's post. If anyone has anything to add barrebaby barrebaby , and I'll update. Probably have some more info later today, once I do some more reading.

I'm sure the raise in new UI claims will force some states to make some decisions.

You listed every state but Ohio smh.

My research says we should be getting it but people keep posting stuff that excludes us.

I'm so confused.

I didn't use Ohio, because it was on this list yesterday just nothing new yet. I was just updating some states that were not included.

It sounds like Ohio will only be issuing the $300.00 not $400.00.
Either FEMA hasnt approved them yet, or they've yet to submit the request.

NY is a no? Smh.
Governor Andrew Cuomo said that the state will not be requesting the money from the federal government to fund unemployment through FEMA dollars. It means no extra benefits for those on unemployment.

News10NBC reporter Jennifer Lewke asked Governor Cuomo about the situation, pointing out that there would be no additional cost to New York to offer the unemployed an extra $300.

“I don’t know what the feds most recent decision is, I don’t know that any of it is legal. I don’t believe the whole executive order mechanism is legal. So, I think this is all an artificial construction for political reasons, Cuomo told News10NBC. ““State’s abilities to re-design their administration system (to offer the payments) is a virtual impossibility in a short period of time.”

Cuomo said he doesn’t trust FEMA, and doesn’t like the idea of the state doing business with them.

Several people I work with got letters from DWD (Indiana Department of Workforce Development) saying that they were overpaid the entire amount, and are supposed to pay it all back (anywhere from around $1k to about $9K for some). We got cut down to a max of 32 hrs/week instead of 40+, for about 5 weeks. I claimed partial for that time, but never got a check. I think some of my coworkers might not have been so honest/correct with the information provided, or Indiana DWD just sucks.
