They gotta bench Javale and start Kieff.

Give a shorter leash to KCP and Green. I'd give Waiters 10-12 minutes and hope he can provide a punch off the bench while not being a tire fire on defense.

I don’t understand why Vogel continues to play Javale with Bron and AD

my last memory of of Frank Vogel in the playoffs is him gifting a shaky raptor team a game 7 victory with terrible coaching decisions in the crunch.

if KCP and Danny Green shoot 0% from the for the rest of playoffs the Lakers are doomed anyways.

gotta keep running em out there and hope they remember

Its easy to say Bron should post up more, but how is Bron supposed to post up if there's typically a traditional center (Javale/Dwight) in/around the paint and the guards can't make threes?
Javale & Howard combined for 27 mins, which will probably come down if Dwight keeps fouling.

I can’t imagine Vogel will keep giving KCP 30 mins if he continues to brick, so possibly more Waiters or JR. Of course your team defense takes a hit so it’s a give & take.

Danny Green’s mins will likely go unchanged. Since 2016 he’s ranged from mediocre to terrible from deep in every playoff run so that’s something to keep in mind. He hasn’t been reliable from there during the playoffs recently.

Remember back in 2013 when Dwight was a prospective free agent and the Lakers kept throwing him the ball in the post to appease him?

Same thing here. AD doesn't want to bang with traditional centers. But it's best for the team that he does. Vogel needs to have a convo with AD about this.

I would continue to give Danny minutes because he's probably the second best perimeter defender on the team after Caruso. And at least he made a couple of threes tonight.

Close the games with AD-Bron-Kuzma-Green- whoever else. Maybe Ginobili since he’s pretty decent as a pest. AD + Dwight/Javale allows Portland to go with Whiteside which clogs up the paint and basically turns it into a shooting contest, which the Lakers probably aren’t going to win.

Half court offense been a struggle all year. LBJ really needs to turn down the passing and turn up the scoring and Vogel needs to get javale out the bubble

Bron has not looked good enough to get the Lakers where they need to be. At some point he's going to need to be scoring 30 a night. He's got to be the best player in a series against the Clippers, and also the Rockets for that matter. He had 15 assists and the passing game is working this is maybe the best passing season of his career considering the personnel and him being the only creator but the scoring has not been there AT ALL. The only truly “Old Bron” part of his game that’s still as it once was is the transition stuff. He’s not really able to get guys on their heels in the halfcourt anymore off the dribble the jumper is back to being suspect and I'm not here to tell you that he can't get better but he has to get better if the Lakers want to win the title. It all starts and ends with Bron and it hasn't looked like enough.

I do want to say that at 35 playing more basketball than anyone ever has, I am sure its hard to just take five months off and then just be expected to pick it up like nothing ever happened but he hasn’t looked like he has what it takes at present. If this is really the start of a true decline of this guy I will be sad to see it, especially given the weird circumstances of this all.

I maintains that the CP3 playmaker guy is not it from your star player come playoff time. Led the league in assist, great! But that’s not it from your starboy

he's great if teams play conventional pick and roll defense. not so great when they switch everything and he has to get buckets in isolation vs lengthy wing defenders.

So being passive is now a good thing? I don’t know any kind of athlete who gauges their competition before actually COMPETING and thinking it’s part of their strategy.

These are the kind of bull**** excuses these fans come up with, and they need to stop justifying or glorifying Ls to make them feel good.
