Bomani Jones just brought up a good point. The problem with us clearing the deck in 2010-2011 wasn't that we cleared the deck, it was that we cleared the deck for Carmelo Anthony & had no real plan after that.

From a basketball perspective, a AD and KP frontcourt just doesnt make sense. Bad for both their knees tryna keep up with guards for 30 min a game on switches. Would be a block party though.
AD is injury prone plus not really the type to lead you to a chip as a first option. He's a top 5 player in the league no doubt, but he's also played with legit players in the past and made the playoffs what 2 out of 8 years?
He's just not it. Also ANY package including KP automatically trumps every other package that Lakers and their overrated "core" or the Celtics can offer. Not only do we have the best player in the package (KP) we also have the best asset of any package (#1 pick)
If we're trading our pick I rather trade it for Dame.
