1 - New Freedom of Movement rule puts defenders at a disadvantage + results in more FT's
2 - Shot clock resets to 14 on offensive rebounds = more possessions
3 - Every team is playing at faster paces than in the past
4 - Continued increase of shooting + decrease of post ups
It's crazy how much press this is getting. No one seems to remember 2002 when we had a similar level of changes.

Half court violation went from ten to 8
No illegal defense
Hand and body checking
Defensive three seconds

Anything that allows for freedom of player movement putting a greater emphasis on skill I'm all for.

On my mama I'd make that deal in a heartbeat.

If it doesn't work out...so ****ing what. It's the Wizards. What do you have to lose? The reward exceeds the risk x10.

Bring that young man home.
I can see that. Gotta blow that **** up. I'm running to Phoenix or Orlando and hoping that they're willing to part with an unprotected pick and young guy package. I thought Fultz was the best guy in that draft, but I have no idea what is going on with him.

I have no idea either but I don't know if I trust him to figure it out on THAT team. I'd like to see him in a situation that's not trying to contend so he can play without looking over his shoulder. What's best for him at the moment is not what's best for the team. Sometimes, it's good for prospects to develop in situations where they aren't expected to yield wins immediately. Trae Young can have as many 5/20 nights as he wants to because he's actually developing.

Whatever's going on with Fultz's shot, he's going to have to figure it out in-game eventually, and not just in a SoCal gym with Drew Hanlen. He's shown the flashes...this isn't quite Anthony Bennett yet. But he needs to be in a situation where he can play with the same confidence he plays with during Sixers blow outs.

How does the reward exceed the risk tenfold?

At best, he’s going to be a little better than Beal. At worst, he’s out of the league in about 5 years (rookie contract + another desperation flyer because of his age). He’s not even cheap, these top picks make money now. Then Wiz have to take back salary to make it work.

Don’t see the point IMO. Better off sending Porter and Oubre out for something. Relying on Dwight to turn this around has to be very frightening for Wiz fans.
