Simmons will become a better shooter. Give him time. It took Bron like 8-10 years to become a decent shooter. I agree he should work on free throw shooting though.

Ain’t no way boys should be shooting less than 65% from the line. Atleast get me 70-75%
Can't even make this comparison.

LeBron wasn't scared to shoot. It just wasn't something that he excelled at. Simmons is AFRAID and literally won't shoot.

tatum looking at them thangz like “is this a joke? a test? a trap?”

Going along with the Simmons, non-shooter stuff, I feel like Brett Brown is getting some unfair criticism here....

Like I said the other day, in order for the Sixers to reach their potential as a team, they either need to play Fultz and give him his reps no matter how he plays, or they need to trade him for a Jimmy Butler type. They need that 3rd guy that can create off dribble and shoot. Until Fultz figures it out or they make that trade though, they are in a tough spot. Losing Bellineli and Ilyasova was a huge blow. Their shooting, along with JJ and Covington (sometimes) is what made Simmons unwillingness to shoot somewhat OK. Without those guys, his unwillingness is not OK. It makes this team significantly easier to guard.

I don't see how Brett Brown can be blamed for Simmons unwillingness to shoot, and whatever the hell is going on/went on with Fultz.

“Generational talent “
Gets tossed around too much
Agreed to a point, but depends on who the term is being used for, IMO.

For instance, since we're on Ben Simmons, his combination of size, athleticism, and court vision is shared by pretty much only two players ever. LeBron and Magic. I think it is fair to call that generational.

Don't matter the coach, you're not winning w/Ben if he can't score for himself. The 76ers love the JJ Redickkk DHO's but that gets cut out against the good teams in the playoffs, and aside from Joel, there's nobody else that can create a solid shot for themselves.

This is why they needed / need Markelle so badly.

How does the reward exceed the risk tenfold?

At best, he’s going to be a little better than Beal. At worst, he’s out of the league in about 5 years (rookie contract + another desperation flyer because of his age). He’s not even cheap, these top picks make money now. Then Wiz have to take back salary to make it work.

Don’t see the point IMO. Better off sending Porter and Oubre out for something. Relying on Dwight to turn this around has to be very frightening for Wiz fans.

Pretty much. Why the hell would the Wizards help Philly like that? Fultz is already weak mentally. Going to the Wizards ain't helping him. The Wizards don't have a track record of turning dudes careers around.

Its definitely weird Ben wont even attempt a mid range jumper. Ever. I dont get why? Im sure he puts up jumpers in practice and workouts. Its stupid to just depend on layups and dunks

Simmons is like the kid from Sandlot who can't throw the ball in from the outfield so he just runs it in.
