Philly's last season success made Brett Brown look like a genius.
Now its showing he a fraud. Philly needs a better coach to achieve greater things

Brown is the same tier as Casey and Brooks. He's good at development and making the team play hard where they get good to a certain degree, but you cant win a conference finals with him. You'll eventually need to upgrade.

The crappy part is, Elton Brand doesn't have that much control as a GM. In fact, I think Brown is part of that committee that makes decisions on personnel

I wouldn’t say he’s terrible but even last year his rotations at times were awful and him just consistently letting them go on crazy runs of turnovers over and over without ever calling timeouts was the most ridiculous thing I saw a coach do all last year. He constantly let them do this. I also think losing Lloyd Pierce was a big hit to the coaching staff.

The roster doesn’t have enough shooting and is being held hostage by the idea that we NEED to start a kid who isn’t anywhere near as good or as good of a fit of a player on the bench who made our starting 5 the highest ranked lineup in the league last year. We banked on our young players natural development just making us better this year instead of finding legitimate good replacements for Bellineli and Ilyasova. We also stuck with slug *** Amir Johnson instead of finding a replacement for the guy who every time he’d come in for Embiid the other team would go on a run.

Our losses are also all on the road and to the Celtics, Raptors, undefeated Bucks and undefeated Pistons. Still undefeated at home. So the sky isn’t completely falling yet, but unless we make a major move there’s zero chance of this roster beating the Raptors or Celtics in a 7 game series this season.

Simmons will become a better shooter. Give him time. It took Bron like 8-10 years to become a decent shooter. I agree he should work on free throw shooting though.

Ain’t no way boys should be shooting less than 65% from the line. Atleast get me 70-75%

LeBron could at least shoot somewhat decent from the start and he would TAKE the shots. I don’t know if Simmons will ever actually take the damn shots.

Said this last night. Simmons and his non shooting is holding the team back

Say what you want about him and Fultz fit (they only play 3-4 minutes together) but outside of the Hawks game, he hasn’t been playing great. Teams aren’t even concerned with leaving him by himself

Hell at least Fultz will get up a shot if left alone

Its definitely weird Ben wont even attempt a mid range jumper. Ever. I dont get why? Im sure he puts up jumpers in practice and workouts. Its stupid to just depend on layups and dunks

Can't use Lebron as a comparison. Lebron attempted 4 3's agame his 2nd year and shot 35%. Simmons don't want no smoke outside of 8 feet. Only person that might be a good comparison is Blake.
