so we trade them melo basically giving the cavs the east for the next 2/3 years max. what do they have that would even remotely help us now ??

well the Cavs own the east as long as Lebron is still playing. let's face it. we're not fielding a team to beat them any time soon, if ever, while number 23 is on the roster.

as a Melo fan, the only way he makes it to the Cavs is if he gets cut and signs a min deal. that's not happening, bc Phil would be a complete idiot to cut an all-star. as a Knicks fan (however idk why at this point) we need Melo to stay, just to buy KP more time before he takes the full burden of being the main guy in New York. that includes the full court pressure from the NY media as well. the best thing that could happen to this team, this season, is if we somehow get rid of Noah's contract.

Lol the Cavs would be infinitely better with Melo on their team *****. They'd be better with Melo's in Love's place, let alone simply adding him and allowing him to play the Olympic Melo role full time. Have you not seen how bad the Cavs are at scoring outside of Bron/Kyrie/Love this series?

Y'all know I love Melo but the last thing the Cavs need is another iso scorer. Love is a better rebounder & defender at this point in their careers. He also gives them a scoring presence in the paint.

Melo would be another weapon. Of course he can help the cavs. He wouldn't have the same role as here he would be Olympic melo who could be effective with other good players. That team would hide his weaknesses just like it did for Kyrie and love. But with shump and Jr they are just trash. Knicks fans knew that but now the casual fans know it cuz of the finals

The Jazz ( a top 3 defensive and rebounding team in the league) just got completely washed by the Warriors.

Sadly the only way to beat this Warriors team is on the offensive side of the ball. Kyrie, Melo, Love, and Lebron would 10000% keep up with Steph, Klay, and KD.
