See I dont think he retires though. Thats why I didnt even mention Parker, in my mind its a foregone conclusion he comes back

Parker will resign for 2 years, 1 year player option.  In no way shape or form will the Spurs trade him.  It'll be a Manu situation.

That said, I think they'll try and resign Patty with the same treatment they did with The Big 3 - take a reduction in wages for the better of the team.

For now I think Murray has the potential to start in the next few seasons, whilst backing up Parker.

Patty's such a great impact player and works well with the second unit.  I see Murray transitioning to Manu's (irreplaceable) role.

Who knows what's happening with Simmons, Dedmon and Lee.  I'd kill to lock up all 3, however Simmons may look elsewhere for more $$$ and more opportunity which he fully deserves.
100% agree with everything you said.

if anything, dejounte will start and patty will still be that backup that will finish gms

He's probably just mad cause his hyperbolic statements about the Lakers and their core looking real shaky.

i guess he shouldn't have an all star last year either cause he's not really doing much different this year

Lamarcus isn't an all-star this year.
He's past the 'all-star' level and more interested in winning rings.

He can prove to be an 'all-star' by making big plays and helping the team down the stretch (points, rebounds, assists, blocks - in any order).

Is he though? At a minimum there are two plays a game where I see this guy just completely space out. He frustrates me to Richard Jefferson and Gary Neal levels at times.

Lakers "young core" is just BI......and a few overrated young players who will be jettisoned once management realizes what we've known for the past 2 years.

Best option is to tank for a pick. And build a real core.

True. BI and the 2017 pick will be the future going forward. Zu, Nance and Clarkson are/will be adequate support pieces though.
