According to who? Who expected them to start anywhere near 12-1, especially with that schedule?

Zero people.

Most people didn't even have them making the playoffs. One knucklehead said they'd have the worst record in the league. There was no praise.

I picked the over on 40.5 if that means anything.

Gameday was good while it lasted...

Cousins attitude is gonna hurt him as a player. This isn't the 1st time people within the organization have delt with that.

Other than LAC, they have lost to VERY good teams. OKC, Utah, SAS, Dallas.
Sure they have, but they suppose to be a VERY good team as well. 5-5 after a 7-0 start just doesn't seem right. I just think they are finally cooling down from a hot start and will end up being a 5th or lower seed.
yeah i think you may be right...they looked so good at the start, I think the trade kinda threw them off a lil
to me, david west has ball hog tendencies that are costly as well

Naaa, not really. Monta's cool but he's a one trick pony and with the glut of top guards in the west he'll be the easy man out.
He's stepped up his defense last year & has only improved. His offensive game speaks for himself. He has one of the deadliest mid-range games in the NBA. When he attacks the rim, very few defenders stand a chance. He is avg. 25 points/game & is shooting 48 % from the field. Far from a one trick pony.

Erik Spoelstra reached out to Mike Brown over the summer and searched for insight into both basketball’s blessing and curse: Coaching the two-time MVP LeBron James.

Over and over, Brown uprooted his offensive system to appease James only to have it never work. Brown praised James’ character publicly when he would’ve preferred to have been truthful about James’ narcissism. James defied Brown in public and private, disregarded his play calls to freelance his offense, and belittled him without consequence within the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Meticulous in his preparation, Spoelstra spoke with several past coaches, and league sources said a clear and unequivocal picture appeared on how to proceed: End the cycle of enabling with James and hold him accountable.

And surprise, surprise: LeBron James has responded with a test of his own organizational strength, pushing to see how far the Heat will bend to his will. This season, James is hearing a word seldom uttered to him in Cleveland: “No.

makes alot of sense that his people would put out that story the week lebron goes to Cleveland. for sure.

I cannot see LeBron ever winning a championship in this league. A team needs to be coached, especially when it comes to the playoffs, and he doesn't allow for that.

Regardless of how much talent this Heat team has, they don't have the basketball IQ to disregard their coach and compete with teams equally/more talented that allow themselves to be coached.
