NT Uber Drivers

If you don’t want to wait you can download the inspection form and take it to a certified Lyft hub like Jiffy Lube or Meineke and have them inspect the car.

Lyft emailed me all the locations within 90 minutes that can do it. Most want to charge $60 - $80 :smh:

Yeah, besides the free spot I'm going to next week, the cheapest was $16. But they wanted me to drop the car off on Monday and pick it up on Friday. Who does that :{

What’s up NT fam, heading out to the Bay Area for the first time this Friday to drive. It’ll be my first time driving a big city, currently in Fresno and do both uber and Lyft to minimize the time between rides. I’ve been doing uber longer, so I’ll probably stick to that, since I’m more use to the app and it just seems to be a little smoother.

Anything I should look out for? Any tips or areas to target and stay away from. Any pointers would def be appreciated, thanks!

stay away from the sunset after 9 pm you will barely get any rides.. try to stay within the bright city lights.. also the airport is an easy money grab for long rides.. got one from napa and got close to $200... also watch the new rules on the streets and those annoying bikers who will purposely be an ahole

As soon as I saw that he was beyond wasted, I'm denying that ride. Sorry not sorry.

Alright give me the run down

All you gotta do now is watch the tutorial video when you open the app. It’ll show you the basics of how to function. The rest is just recognizing what patterns of when and where riders request. Pay attention to the heat map. If you miss a hot zone today make sure you remember about that zone tomorrow and the next day etc.

All of this!! Was out there this past weekend and actually dropped someone off near sunset (tiki bar or something like that) ended up waiting for a decent amount of time before my next ping, which never usually happens in SF. Definitely learning as I go, and it’s getting easier but if you can get lucky and get into airport queue when it’s short or have a drop off at SFO/Oakland airport and pick immediately after with a long fare, that’s where the money is at!

The lag between rides has been bad but I attribute that to the holiday season. I looked at the map again today at 5:00pm and it looked like traffic was back to normal, which is great news for drivers. Rain is expected to continue tomorrow for the Bay Area so pings should be very frequent.

Tell me about it, last Friday and Saturday I almost felt like I was home driving! Where I run both uber/Lyft to eliminate down time haha. L lightweight champion were you out there and noticed a glitch in the map part of of the app where it grayed out certain areas? That ish messed me up a little.

holiday has been great for me.. i usually run door dash and postmates with my UBer and I've been on uber a lot more... id say a 5-10 min wait between pings

New year's day was crazy busy. Started at 3pm and made 190 including a quest for $25.

I've been using the Uber city pass this month and I've saved a ****load of money I really hope I'm able to get it again next month because it's gonna be real hard for me to use Uber again with regular pricing.
