i guess marbury's still going hard in china if that counts

Thanks god Nash is going to call it quit or else the Lakers would have to step in and force him into retirement

Nash can't retire! He just can't! Get him Beats headphones. He'll be alright. You can't overstate the value of veteran leadership.

I can. We have Kobe.

Nash's leadership is pretty much worthless at this point. You can't be a leader, when you only play 40 games. He won't bring us a title. And he costs us $9.7mil.

Forget winning, you want a shot at even making the playoffs, Nash can't be here.

nash is such a likeable guy. sad to see his career end in this fashion.

at least its a plus for the lakers going forward, though.

Yeah. I make my fair share of Nash jokes but the reality of it is I feel bad for him.

I don't usually feel bad for millionaires but you can tell it's killing him that his body's breaking down on him.
He does seem like a good guy so even though the old jokes are funny I hate that it had to happen to him.

Via @EliasSports From 1970-71 - 2012-13, Lakers never had game in which each starter scored fewer than 10 pts. Has happened 2x this season :smh::smh:

i always respected his game but i cant say i liked him even when he became a laker - only because phoenix knocked us out in the first round twice and we never seemed to know not to switch on the pnr

nash is real down to earth guy. and as much as i hated him kill us in slow mo when he was in phoenix he'll go down as one of my all time favorites.

its a shame he's gotta go out this way, but it really was inevitable.

feels batman....

Lowry, Lance, Kobe, Top 5 pick, Love
Xavier, Marshall, Kelly, Sacre

Fill in 3 more, possibly a pick we land from a Pau trade

2016 opens back up when we get rid of Kobe's deal. Add even more talent. :pimp:

It would open up $9 million in cap space.

Theroetically enough, for say a Kyle Lowry.
lowry for 9 mil or both farmar and marshall going forward for 6-8 mil combined?

im leaning towards depth considering we want to sign max type players

Farmar won't get much more than $3mil, if he gets that.

Marshall will be a Laker next year and probably won't be after that.

How realistic is a Kyle Lowry? Blake/Farmar/Marshall are 3 really good backups, we could use a Kyle Lowry type player...
Personally, I'm fine with the Farmar and Marshall tandem for the time being. I wouldn't be oppposed to drafting a PG though (I don't know enough about Exum and Smart is iffy to me).

I think management could lure Lowry if they really wanted him. But I hope they don't.
