yeah, im just a lifelong clippers hater though. went to a clippers vs kings game back in 06 and went to the gift shop to get a LA kings foam finger to root for the kings

Look, it's really not that big of a deal. The Staples Center does not belong to the Lakers, they're as much of a tenant as we are. If covering the banners makes it a more enjoyable experience for Clipper fans, so be it.

The action of covering the banners isn't a big deal because it should've been done since the beginning, the Clippers just didn't have the balls or savvy to.

It just a bit annoying be cause they chose now, when they know they're going to be better and more relevant (in the short term) to do it. They're basically puffing out their chest and playing the big boy card.

Even that's not that big of a deal. If anything it shows Doc Rivers is the first major player in the organization to have respect for the Clippers name. Which, for their fans, should be both exciting and sad at the same time.
