**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Really like the CJ/Herb Jones deal but would definitely take BI back from NOP if they could line up another deal.

I will live with the consequences of AD, Bron, Ingram, Christie, AR, Knecht, Vando ( :lol), backup center x and backup guard x. Give it a run this season and next, then shop them in 2026-2027.

The answer is a very clear one. But that won't happen.

But then they look dumb because they also are unwilling to trade too many guys.

So they're in limbo.

It'll probably end up only as DFS on the team only.

Okay. I rescind my point.

But my question would be is if you go all-in and trade the firsts.. But then unload AD if it doesn't work out, and statistically it's more likely to not work out.
The last rebuild took 5 years + and was only shortened because of LeBron deciding to end his career in LA.
Not quite sure what the question is that you’re asking me?

But if it’s something about how do I feel about losing the picks if it doesn’t work out I’m not a hindsight type of guy. If you want to achieve success you will to be willing to take risks and live with whatever consequences that come with them.

Trading the picks to then blow it up is a huge risk.

But risk it for the biscuit is a good enough explanation for me.

Who’s better Herb or TM3?

Outside of PG and OG Anunoby, I can't think of a better player next to Bron than TM3. Herb's pretty close.

TM3 is a better shooter and offensive player. Herb is a better individual defender and has a much better contract at this point. Both would be great next to Bron and help save his legs.

I really wanted to see what DJM/Herb/TM3/Zion could do but they would never be healthy anyway. :smh:

Somethings clicked. He was just standing around at times during summer league and preseason. Last few games, they moved him to pg and he's a completely different player. Him being on the ball has forced him to be active. When he's active, he's been good.

Magic didn’t have to say all that, could’ve just answered the question with a simple
