**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Jeanie doesn't care man. She ain't firin Kobe's agent.

We ridin out Bron's contract. Everything else is deck chair shufflin.
I don’t think she’ll let him go either.

I know there’s a lot of talk about this team wasting AD and LeBron’s prime… but the way that BOTH of them play at times (more LeBron than AD) I’m not sure if I’d be going all in either. That first season you could tell they were on a mission, that every big game meant something and they had a point to prove… now it feels like AAU/pickup ball, these are just games and not a single one is more important than the others.

Maybe they started out the season playing hard to show that under a different coach that this year is different but the more time that passes the more they kinda reveal that this is who they are.

Maybe....

But like many of us know and have said, this organization has turned into a joke.

Watching what the Dodgers are doing and ensuring they always have the talent to contend while watching this organization penny pinch and make mistake after mistake....

Zero expectations....

Yeah, the front office needs to make a decision. We are either committed to competing for championships with LeBron and AD over not. This team is slightly better coached but this roster has fundamental issues that cannot be coached around.

Package Rui, Dlo and first round pick and see what you can get.

Doesn’t matter if you don’t put your valuable assets on the block.
Wait, which block?
Like 'down low', telling AD (valuable asset) to get on the block?
Oooorrr putting your valuable assets on the trading block?
👀

Well ****.

Double entendre.

I meant the second. But the first too.

There isn’t a DLo+Rui package trade that doesn’t end up in some level of ****** for the team. Moves just to make moves while also sending picks out.
If it’s about championships. Is the team a contender with AR as the first player on a nightly basis? 2nd? 3rd?

If the answer is no or probably not. Same thing all the other guys should get from the fan base.

Nowwwwwwwww I have a different opinion and think that the guys who are 7-12 in the rotation (talent wise) are so significantly bad and don’t even fill in gaps of 1-6 that it will make the team a handful of games worse all year, and that’s where Rob ****** up the last 18 months. There’s zero margin of error. And can’t even play half of them because the team suffers when they play.

Rui.

Gotta have SOME type of defensive presence in the starting lineup besides AD… the man was just pleading for some level of decency on that end lol
I get it. But Reddish isn't really improving the defense minus the eye test stuff.

Pretty much same roster as last season, same issues different coaching approaches.

Last year I think the philosophy was to lean more into the defensive players on the roster, and let the stars carry the offense. During the regular season you can win plenty of games that way but the all-in on offense approach doesn’t win games in the playoffs so there’s a trade off.

This year looks like JJ wants to lean in more on the offense. Sure the team can be lesser opponents because of talent but against equal and better talent we all see what it is.

Quick question.

Someone give me the opponents that Dalton has started against and the ones Cam has started against…

**Also, I saw LeBron’s impact by quarter posted somewhere but didn’t save it… basically he doesn’t really try until the second and fourth quarter. I’ll try and see if I can find it
