**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

There was no indication from Dwert that he was going to leave before trading for him. And that even buffers my point even more. Was that smart or stupid that the Lakers did that?

It was a dumb move. But again, it won't stop teams from trying it.

Stand pat and this roster is growing. :hat

Ball
DLo/Clarkson
PG/Ingram/Deng
Randle/Nance
Zubac/#28/Moz

If PG's agent really pushes, he could get his trio signed, that might be where you see Ingram+ flipped for a consolidation piece.

Hate to say this, and don't really want it to happen, but imagine Ingram + Ball + Deng for someone else who wants out in a year or two.

That star, + PG, DLo, Randle. Then whatever left over parts, Clarkson-Zu-Nance, etc. Add a vet or two as depth and see how close you are from there.

Lot of power goin to PG/DLo/Randle's agent. [emoji]129300[/emoji]

@Essential1 say if we do a Clarkson+Deng swap for PG. What's our cap looking like for next summer with JR's & PG's cap hold?

Why in the world would you throw Randle in a PG trade after that Woj bomb? :lol wow

If Magic isn't really sold on Randle as a max player this is the perfect opportunity to not have to deal with the awkwardness of contract negotiations with Julius next summer.
Moving a 22 year old lottery pick that has shown promise in a trade for a guy who has now explicitly said he'll sign outright to the team is idiotic any way you slice it.

If you really want to move him, you trade him for something else, not for a guy who's willing to sign with you outright and has zero trade value after that Woj report.

Who the **** says he is going to give them all up? If he gives up 1, he still has 3 left this year and next year. A deal of a lotto pick + Crowder is better than Clarkson and awful contract. There are enough teams out there willing to take a gamble on a player like PG.

Or what happens if the Cavs offer love for him?

He's going to leave man. You don't give up assets for a rental when he's made his intentions crystal clear. Plus Bron is probably leaving the Cavs after next year. I'd like to think Gilbert wouldn't want to be left with just Kyrie.

The post that make sense.

Way too much overthing in here. :lol

I just don't know how it will work with ball dlo pg bi...whos the odd man out...they're all starters

Pacers have cap room as well don't think the salaries have to match.

They all could be to me but BI and PG both need heavy minutes at the 3

I think Magic going to see PG and BI as similar parts, which always confused me about the Josh Jackson pick too.

D'lo and Ball are going to need minutes at the 2 for this to work effectively so than that mean BI plays the 4 in that lineup is pretty brutal for the kid.

....and I don't want to hear about how the warriors did this or that.... we are NOT close to what the Warriors are.
