**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Gave up a pick to get him
Give up another pick to get rid of him
Unbelievable incompetence by the FO

Last years roster would be top 3-4 in the west right now

Why exactly should the Lakers give up a pick in a Westbrook for Wall swap? Westbrook is the better player and more inclined to a buy-out than Wall is.
Ya not sure why people just run with what we Houston suggests. Of course they will ask for a first.

At most it will be with a heavily protected second rounder.

I’d rather just keep Russ and bench him. He will be tradable with an expiring deal. More so than Wall at least

to me this season is a wrap. We all know it. There is no move that can be made to save us. We are not one move away from Suns/Warriors/Bucks level.

Probably smarter to keep Westbrook and trade him in the summer. Can attach more picks to him at that time and hopefully get a decent return.

I was rooting for the Brodie, the home town kid, but he can’t play winning basketball. The only way russ can excel is as the primary ball handler. It’s crazy that everyone saw this but the Lakers. How did the entire fan base know this wouldn’t work out but our dumb *** management / leaders thought they knew better :smh:
not the entire fanbase knew.

remember yall were calling us the worst fanbase in the nba for calling a spade a spade.

if we win on the road tonight at portland well be 2 games under 500

with the warriors on saturday night at chase.

he was until vogel refused to play him.

Vogel seems unwilling to experiment - the optics are bad based on Russ' contract but have him come off the bench and play to his strengths with the second unit.

A lot has been wanting this since the offseason. It looks like it'll happen since he's being benched entire quarters now.

It just won't work with him starting. He demands the ball to be effective. If he has the ball, Bron is likely standing around waiting for it, and AD is clogging the paint. Russ attacking usually clogs the paint and with that there comes a turnover, or a forced jumper by AD. He needs to be in the second unit where there is more spacing and he has more opportunity to play his game to be effective. The team is what it is but there are better ways to maximize what we have. Him coming off the bench would be better for us. Until then, not much will change, unless we make the moves pmatic pmatic mentioned in getting Richardson and Gary Harris.

All it would take is a few good games for Russ to be on board.

What are those strengths exactly?

I don’t think Russ will react well to losing his starting job; once you lose that you never get it back. In his mind he’s still the MVP Mr Triple Double

Ja Morant already knows how to slow his game down better than Russ

Dinwiddie was good for Brooklyn. Haven't been following up lately to know if this is a good deal

:lol Gasol was fine......until we signed DeAndre Jordan and forced him out.

:rollin :rollin :rollin

The man has played every single lineup under the sun. "Unwilling to experiment" :lol :rollin

It's only noon, you guys have time to pin Caruso not bein here on him, and Kawhi choosin the Clippers, and Magic havin HIV......

Blazers made another salary dump move

Damn Russ. One year too early. Coulda had McCollum and Powell lol

Gasol was dope I never understood the hate and why they wanted Drummond so badly.

Should’ve stuck with Gasol and/or re-signed McGee.

If we’re going over old moves, I never understood why they didn’t go all in for Chris Paul instead of Dennis. It’s not like the Suns gave up hella for CP.
